On April 25, Yi Hongwu, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Sanxia University and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and representatives of teachers and students of the School of Law and Public Administration, went to Zigui County, Yichang City to carry out a special research activity on "Going into Qu Yuan's hometown and building a solid line of defense for the integrity".
On the day of the event, the research team drove to Zigui. Comrades Yang Yong, Secretary of the Zigui County Party Committee, Liu Yun, Member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee, Secretary of the County Discipline Inspection Commission, and Director of the County Supervisory Commission, warmly welcomed the arrival of the research team.
The research team first came to Zheng Chengzhi's model worker studio to visit and study. In light of the studio and school's clean government construction, Yi Hongwu emphasized that the Party Committee of the School of Law and Public Administration should improve its political stance, strengthen its mission and responsibility, consciously resist stability and consolidate the main responsibility of comprehensive and strict governance of the party, and combine the construction of clean government with all the work of the college.
Liu Yun expressed his hope to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the School of Law and Public Administration in various aspects such as talent introduction and employment, and promote the deep integration and development of universities and localities.
Then, the research team visited and learned in turn the historical evolution of the construction of Qu Yuan’s anti-corruption education base and the deeds of honest people. The display with distinct themes and rich forms brings everyone a comprehensive, multi-angle, and the most direct visual impact and spiritual shock. The students stood under the famous quote of the exhibition hall "The Queen Emperor is a good tree, and the orange is in full bloom; the order is not moved, and the southern country is born" and listened to the teachings of the predecessors. They all expressed that they should study professional knowledge solidly, establish lofty ideals, combine personal destiny with the country's destiny, cultivate patriotic foundation, and shoulder the historical mission.
According to reports, carrying out normalized integrity education is an inherent requirement for standardizing the exercise of public power, a powerful tool for implementing the main responsibility of schools to comprehensively and strictly govern the party, and an important measure to build a high-quality cadre team of "loyalty, clean, and responsible". Through this research activity, we can better inherit and carry forward Qu Yuan's great patriotic dedication spirit, carry forward romantic sentiments, cultivate students to establish noble ideals, beliefs and moral sentiments, and enhance the awareness of integrity and self-discipline among party members and cadres.
