In June of the 31st year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (June 1692 AD), Zhu Sibin, a native of the town, recorded in "Records of the Repair of the Sanyi Pavilion": "Guyi Plain was Taoyuan in the Han Dynasty Zhaolie Hall, northwest of the ancient post town. When was the "Sanyi Temple" built, it is no longer possible to verify, but it is proved from the existing ancient books that should have been before the Song Dynasty. Judging from the current remains, the scale of the "Sanyi Temple" should be a large temple with five depths.
The last temple of the "Sanyi Temple" was demolished by Taoyuan Village in 1965 and converted into Taoyuan Primary School .
