At around 16:00 p.m. that day, the police on duty found illegal acts of occupying the emergency lane of the expressway in non-emergency situations at K1023 and K1029 kilometers of G1013 Haizhang Expressway. The illegal parking locations are less than 5 kilometers away from the parking area. According to the " Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China ", the above illegal acts were given 9 points for the driver's license and fined 200 yuan. I believe many drivers have heard of parking and resting in the emergency lane of highways and being fined for scores. This not only makes many people confused? Isn’t it an emergency to be in a situation of emergency? If you park in the emergency lane, you will be fined and scored. Can’t you stop? expressway refers to the road surface part adjacent to the right driving lane, including hard shoulder , with an effective length greater than or equal to 30 meters, which can meet the needs of motor vehicle parking. In an emergency situation, the vehicle can drive or stop in the emergency lane.
The existence of emergency lanes is for use in public vehicles such as ambulances, fire trucks, police military vehicles, etc. when an emergency occurs. Social vehicles are generally not allowed to occupy emergency lanes. After all, this is a life lane. However, if a vehicle fails or encounters unsolvable problems, it can temporarily park in the emergency lane and wait for rescue while ensuring personal safety.

In an emergency, the emergency lane can be driven and parked. However, these prerequisites must be done correctly: when the vehicle can move, drive into the emergency lane, turn on the hazard warning light and double flash, the personnel in the car evacuated outside the guardrail, and ensure safety, take out the triangle warning sign from outside the guardrail to 150 meters behind the vehicle (about 200 steps for adults) and place it.
