htmlOn January 26, the award ceremony for the 2017 Chengdu Best Party Building Leading Demonstration Community and the 5th "My Heart's Good Community Secretary" public welfare selection activity, guided by the Organization Department of the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee and the Chengdu Civil Affairs Bureau, and organized by West China Metropolis Daily and West China Community Report, was grandly held. A number of demonstration communities with remarkable results in party building work and good community secretaries who work diligently for the people were commended.

In order to thoroughly implement and study the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, improve the governance capabilities of streets and communities, and promote the construction of grassroots party organizations, West China Metropolis Daily and West China Community Daily jointly launched the 2017 Chengdu Best Party Building Leading Demonstration Community and the 5th "My Hearts Good Community Secretary" public welfare selection activity. For nearly two months, the reporter went deep into the community for on-site interviews and formed a "mutual visit group" to communicate offline. After self-recommendation and public recommendation, more than 200 communities, nearly 100 community secretaries, and dozens of social organizations were shortlisted for the primary election. After online public announcement, public likes, expert review and other links, six major awards including "Best Party Building Leading Demonstration Community", "Community Development and Governance Demonstration Point", "Good Community Secretary", and "Excellent Case of Chengdu Social Organization Services". At the award ceremony, the award-winning representatives also "brainstormed" on topics such as community governance and party building leadership, shared advanced experience in community party building, discussed new models of community development governance, and made suggestions for comprehensively promoting the "five major actions" and building a high-quality, harmonious and livable living city.
