A blind girl walked into the subway and embarked on a strange and imaginative adventure between the train, platform and the station. This journey began in 2003 and spanned the 2012 Doomsday Prophecy.
And such a healing story has been adapted into a musical three times in 13 years, with footprints spread across the Taiwan Strait and three places.
- A classic work created a beautiful new life -
This new version will freeze the time in 2017, and continue to irrigate this desolate city with rich emotions. The Human Flying Theatre Group's musical "Subway" will be staged at SAIC Shanghai Cultural Plaza from March 31 to April 1, 2017. From Chen Qizhen and Fan Zhiwei in 2003, Wei Ruxuan and Long Chenhan in 2012, to this year's Wei Ruyun and singer-songwriter HUSH, the lineup of "Subway" always brings refreshing surprises to the audience.
Last year, the musical "Walk Left, Go Right" led by Wei Ruxuan, Wang Dawen, Wang Ruolin, and Wang Ruolin, is also a work of the Human Flying Theatre. At that time, it was difficult to get tickets, and the grand occasion of crowds of seats was full of people, which also won the high reputation of the audience in Shencheng. As the second exhibition work of the Human Flying Troupe, the Starlight Tornado of "Subway" will come to Shanghai again. It is reported that the troupe will also audition the Little Blind Actress in Shanghai to join the final performance, which is really exciting.
- A moving story depicts oriental aesthetics -
"Subway" is the first five-meter work adapted by poet director Li Huanxiong , a musician who spans the theater and popular Chen Jianqi . It does not follow the Broadway route, but uses its own way to carry out the picture book. The plot, dialogue, music and multimedia pictures are stacked, and the original poetic visual musical style is created. The world of subway crisscrossing with colorful colors is closely linked to the inevitable darkness and heaviness of life. Music is the core soul of the whole play. More than 20 songs in the play are in various forms such as solo, resing and chorus. The style of the song is sometimes fresh and sweet, sometimes gorgeous and colorful, forming a rich sense of musical layering, and portraying the themes of longing, life, pursuit and death in the picture book to the fullest.

Miles of musical "Subway" premiered in Taipei in January this year and received great praise. In addition to the sale of tickets, many viewers also watched it three or four times. Whether it is the story, actors, music, or even the stage lighting, they are very detailed and moving. Even if they are repeated, they will still be touched by different paragraphs and resonate with people.
The combination of "Subway" - Wei Ruyun, who plays the blind girl, and HUSH, who plays the man in black, are both singer-songwriters who are deeply loved by young audiences. The sweet and straightforward characteristics of Wei Ruyun and HUSH are stimulating and collide with each other, and their different personalities are integrated into the character's personalities, bringing the audience a new look in "Underland". Although both of them are performing musicals for the first time, they have no awkwardness, which perfectly interprets the characters in the play.

Through multimedia design, the visual elements in the picture book are enlarged and various scene atmospheres are cleverly changed, allowing actors to perform in picture books, the picture book opens the title page in the story, and the graphic picture book and real people blend together to form an amazing stage effect.
In addition to the original characters in the story, many new characters have been added to the musical, and the characters in other picture books are also interspersed and jumped into this subway platform. Between entering and leaving the station, the girl's imagination and clone appear before us. Whether real or virtual, even the playwright himself enters the story. Several lines on the stage intersect at the same time, talking in different time and space. The play also adds Kafka's quiet black atmosphere and Alice's lively and cheerful personality, adding more diverse imaginations and deep restrained connotations to the whole play.
m of picture books, from the poetic dialogue in the script, to the complex and huge musical songs and dances, exquisite stage design and colorful multimedia projection, weave a colorful adventure together, which is extremely beautiful but so sad.
The original author Jianmi also shared his feelings after seeing his work on the stage: "Director Li will pick out some things that I want to hide, I don't want to explain clearly, I hide and don't want people to know, and then give it a more beautiful story. Then he will act again and again, no matter who acts, I have different feelings in different places."
