tea, the most traditional beverage in China. According to research, tea trees originated in China. As early as more than 5,000 years ago, our ancestors had discovered that drinking tea has the effects of detoxification and awakening of the brain. In addition to China, the main tea producing countries in the world are currently Japan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan , Kenya , Malaysia , Indonesia , Vietnam, Argentina, etc. The technologies for planting tea trees and making tea in these countries are basically introduced directly or indirectly from China.
There are also many descriptions of tea trees in our historical books. For example, in the Jin Dynasty, Changju recorded in "Huayang Guozhi·Bazhi", "Zhou King Wu of Zhou defeated Zhou , and he actually obtained the troops of Bashu, and all the tea and honey were tributed." This shows that as early as the period when King Wu of Zhou defeated Zhou, some people presented tea as precious tribute to King Wu of Zhou.
During the Tang Dynasty, the trend of drinking tea became popular, and people were increasingly particular about the choice of tea and water quality. At that time, the palace formed a complete tea drinking process, and the types of tea increased, and the skills of making tea were different. The styles, textures, patterns and other styles of tea sets were becoming more and more advanced. In today's society, tea has become one of the high-end gifts, and successful people who love to drink tea can spend huge amounts of money to buy precious tea.
Tea is picked from tea trees. The variety of tea trees and the age of the tea trees are directly related to the quality of the tea leaves. There is such a tea variety in my country. Because the tea leaves have original flavor after brewing 9 times, it was once regarded as the "king of tea". This kind of tea tree is Dahongpao . Dahongpao is mainly produced in Fujian Wuyishan . It has a tight knot in appearance, green and brown, and the soup is bright in color after brewing, and the leaves are red and green. It is one of the special teas in China.
Today's Dahongpao 99.99% are artificially cultivated. On a cliff under Tianxin Rock in northeast of Wuyi Mountain, Fujian Province, , the west Kowloon Nest of Yongle Zen Temple, , there are four large red robes mother trees, which have a history of 460 years. Since the Dahongpao mother tree has almost disappeared, these three mother trees are known as the "king of tea trees" in China and can be regarded as the rarest tea trees.
On the cliff on the side of the Dahongpao mother tree, there are three words "Dahongpao" written by Mr. Zhu. These four big red robes are shrub-shaped, with semi-expanded crowns and dense branches, with leaf tips rising upwards and oblique leaves, with leaves nearly elliptical, with blunt ends slightly drooping, and fringing slightly toward the edges. The leaves are dark green and shiny, with interior goods slightly thicker and crispy, tender buds slightly stronger, with brighter leaves, and dark green and purple.
1949 After the founding of New China, the local government sent troops to guard and protect. In 1998, at the auction of the 5th Wuyi Rock Tea Festival, the tea from Dahongpao Mother Tree was sold at a sky-high price. The auction price of tea with a net content of 20 grams was 156,800 yuan, which means that the price of a pound of tea was 4.95 million yuan. By 2003, the local government had also insured 100 million yuan for these big red robes mother trees, because it was too precious.
2007, Dahongpao Mother was successfully selected as a World Natural and Cultural Heritage Site. From then on, the local government prohibited the picking of tea from the Dahongpao mother tree. That is to say, even if you have money, you can’t drink the tea from the Dahongpao Mother Tree in Wuyi Mountain. Moreover, the local government has also insured the tea tree by 100 million yuan, which can be regarded as China’s real "king of tea trees".
