[Global Times Comprehensive Report] Japan Kyodo News reported on the 32nd that Japanese Foreign Minister Lin Fang said at a press conference that day that he hopes to hold bilateral talks with China at the UN General Assembly at the end of this month. He said: "Although there is no decision at this stage, I hope to conduct specific research." Lin Fangzheng said that dialogues at all levels of Japan and China are very important.
The 77th United Nations General Assembly will be held in New York, USA from September 20 to 26. Japanese media reports also mentioned that September 29 is the 350th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan in .

However, while Lin Fang was trying to meet with China, he was hyping up the PLA military exercises and China's actions in East China Sea , claiming that this caused "strong concerns between the regional and international community, including Japan, about security issues." He also said, "(Japan) will argue for the due propositions and require (China) to take responsible actions. For many issues faced together, it is necessary to build a constructive and stable Japan-China relationship through the efforts of both sides."
This is not the first time that Lin Fangzheng has made a statement on China-Japan relations recently. According to Kyodo News on August 31, Lin Fangzheng expressed his positive intention on a program on the evening of August 30 to meet with Japanese and Chinese leaders. In early August, U.S. Congress Speaker Pelosi visited Taiwan, causing tension in the Taiwan Strait region. Japan colluded with some other countries to issue a wrong statement about Taiwan. Chinese Foreign Ministry has since announced that China will no longer arrange meetings between Chinese and Japanese foreign ministers at the Foreign Ministers' Meeting of the East Asia Summit.
Regarding the current Sino-Japanese relations, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said last month that Japan should take practical actions to promote the healthy and stable development of Sino-Japanese relations along the correct track. (Sun Peng)
