"The soul is broken and the spring comes, and weep with tears together" It is another Qingming Festival.

When we pay homage to our ancestors and express our grief, we will never forget some people, that is, heroes and martyrs who have made contributions and sacrifices for national independence and liberation and national prosperity and strength.

"Heroic spirit in heaven and earth is still astonishing as ever." Countless heroes and martyrs are the backbone of our nation, and the courage and strength to constantly explore and advance. [Xi Jinping's story]

I will introduce to you the national moral model Comrade Gong Quanzhen, who is the wife of the veteran general Comrade Gan Zuchang. Comrade Gan Zuchang was the founding general of the old Red Army in Jiangxi and the New China, but he insisted on returning to the countryside to be a farmer, and Comrade Gong Quanzhen also returned to the countryside with Comrade Gan Zuchang to work hard. More than half a century has passed, Comrade Gong Quanzhen has always maintained the spirit of hard work and was elected as a national moral model. I feel very pleased to attend our meeting today. I pay my highest respect to Comrade Gong Quanzhen. We must pass on the spirit of hard struggle from generation to generation.

——On September 26, 2013, we met with the winner of the Fourth National Moral Model and Nomination Award in Beijing

[Heroic Deeds]

In August 1957, less than two years after being awarded the rank of major general, Gan Zuchang took the initiative to resign from the position of logistics minister of the Xinjiang Military Region to the organization, and took his wife Gong Quanzhen to the hometown of Yanbei Village, Fanglou Township, Lianhua County, Jiangxi Province to farm. The reason is simple: in order to lead the villagers to build their hometowns together and let the people live a prosperous and happy life.

Wife Gong Quanzhen also cooperated with her husband to work as a teacher in the local school and spent most of her salary on supporting rural construction. The couple participated in the construction of Jiangshan Reservoir. The cousin of their hometown used to call it "General Reservoir" and still watered nearly 10,000 acres of farmland.

In March 1986, this veteran general who joined the party in 1927 and joined the Red Army in 1928 died of illness. The only inheritance he left for his wife and children was an iron box wrapped in red cloth. It was the second-level August 1st Medal, the second-level Medal of Independence and Freedom, and the second-level Liberation Medal that he won in 1955.

This year, the general's wife, who is over 90 years old and has been a party member for 60 years, is still coaching in Lianhuashan Township, Jiangxi without regrets, and is moving China's legend with the true achievements of a Communist Party member. (Refer to the Study Times, Beijing Daily)

When we pay homage to our ancestors and express our grief, we will never forget some people, that is, heroes and martyrs who make contributions and sacrifices for national independence and liberation and national prosperity and strength. - DayDayNews

On November 25, 2013, during their inspection of Linyi, the old revolutionary base in Yimeng, Xi Jinping made a special trip to the East China Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery and presented flower baskets to the Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Tower.

[Xi Jinping's story]

As soon as I came here, I remembered the heroic years of the revolutionary war era. On the red land of Yimeng, countless heroic children were born. The deeds of the six sisters of Yimeng, the mother of Yimeng, and the red sister-in-law of Yimeng are very touching.Like the Yan'an spirit, the Jinggangshan spirit, and the Xibaipo spirit, the Yimeng spirit is a valuable spiritual wealth of the Party and the country, and it must be continuously carried forward in combination with the new era conditions.

——On November 25, 2013, I came to the East China Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery, presented a flower basket to the Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Tower, visited the Yimeng Spirit Exhibition

[Heroic Deeds]

"Yimeng Mother" Wang Huanyu was born in 1888 in Quanli Village, Anti Town, Yinan County. He married at the age of 19 to the Yu family in Dongxinzhuang, Mamuchi Township. He died in 1989 at the age of 101. When the War of Resistance broke out, he was trained by the local party organization to become an anti-Japanese activist and served as the party's intelligence liaison officer.

In the summer of 1939, the Japanese invaders came to Yimeng Mountain to "sweep". Xu Xiangqian and Zhu Rui, the leaders of the Shandong Branch of the Communist Party of China and the First Column of the Eighth Route Army, moved to Dongxinzhuang Village and placed the "coaching account" at Wang Huanyu's home.

Due to the hardships of war, the children of military cadres were very thin. Wang Huanyu and Xu Xiangqian suggested setting up a nursery. With the support of the party organization, she took on the burden of raising and caring for the children of soldiers of the War of Resistance.

In the three years from the autumn of 1939 to the end of 1942, more than 40 children in wartime nurseries grew up healthily. After 1943, another 45 children of revolutionary soldiers were raised by Wang Panyu. However, Wang Huanyu's four grandsons died one after another due to malnutrition and poor care.

1947, Cai Chang made a special report on Wang Huanyu's deeds on behalf of Chinese women at the First World Women's Congress. Wang Huanyu's name has become famous both at home and abroad. (Refer to China Discipline Inspection and Supervision News)

On July 7, 2014, all walks of life in the capital gathered in the Memorial Hall of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the outbreak of the national war of resistance. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended the commemoration ceremony and delivered an important speech.

Xinhua News Agency reporter Ma Zhancheng

[Xi Jinping's story]

In this great struggle to save the nation, the Chinese people sacrificed their lives and shed their blood for the independence and freedom of the Chinese nation. The mother sent her son to fight the Japanese invaders, the wife sent her husband to the battlefield, and men, women, young and old mobilized together. A mother named Deng Yufen in Miyun County, Beijing sent her husband and five children to the front line, and they all died in the battle. A farmer on the North China Plain wrote a couplet: "One united to ensure national independence, and one will strive for national liberation indomitable ways"; the horizontal draft is: "The War of Resistance to the End." This is the roar of the bloody battle between the Chinese sons and daughters and the Japanese invaders, and it is the declaration that the Chinese nation will win the war of resistance.

——On July 7, 2014, speech at the ceremony commemorating the 77th anniversary of the outbreak of the National Anti-Japanese War

[Heroic Deeds]

Deng Yufen was born in Shuiquanyu Village, Miyun County, Beijing in 1891, and later married to Zhangjiafen Village, Miyun County, and worked as a farmer for the rest of his life. She and her husband Ren Zongwu gave birth to seven sons. In April 1940, the 10th Regiment of the Eighth Route Army entered Feng (Ning) Luan (Ping) and established an anti-Japanese base. After discussing with her husband, Deng Yufen decided to send the eldest, second and third brother to join the Fengluanmi Anti-Japanese Guerrillas. The three sons fought on the front line, and Deng Yufen sewed military shoes at home and took care of the wounded Eighth Route Army.

1941, the War of Resistance entered a difficult stalemate. Deng Yufen's family hid in the mountains, while the fourth and fifth brothers participated in the anti-Japanese militia to deal with the Japanese. However, the misfortune came one after another in the second year - her husband Ren Zongwu, Sier and Wuer were unfortunately killed by the Japanese while farming in the "No Man's Land". In the autumn of the same year, the eldest son of the main force of the Eighth Route Army died on the battlefield, and soon the second son died in Deng Yufen's arms due to serious injuries without medicine. However, the hero's mother's suffering did not disappear a year later, and the youngest son died in mother Deng's arms due to hunger and illness. This ordinary rural Chinese woman selflessly dedicated the lives of six relatives to fight against the Japanese invaders. Her story is widely circulated in the Miyun, Fengning and Luanping areas. On February 5, 1970, Deng Yufen, who had spent his tortuous and ups and downs, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 79.

In the letter, he expressed his strong desire to join the army, and signed his own Russian name "Xie Liaosha" at the end of the letter, and indicated "Mao Zedong's son Mao Anying".

has been sent for a long time but no response. At this time, Manuilsky, deputy director of the Soviet Political Department, came to the International Children's Home to visit the children. Mao Anying, who was present, made a request to join the army to Manuilsky. The latter thought about it and rejected Mao Anying. He told Mao Anying that only those with Soviet nationality can go to the battlefield. You are Chinese and cannot let you take risks. But Mao Anying did not give up and repeatedly asked Manuilsky, who finally agreed to help him kill the enemy on the battlefield.

Story 6: Zhu Min once became a prisoner of German fascism in the concentration camp

[Xi Jinping's story]

In the Nazi concentration camp in Minsk, Zhu Min, the daughter of Marshal Zhu De, the founding father of New China, once fought against German fascism with his Belarusian partners.

——On May 8, 2015, a signed article titled "Make the movement of China-Belarusian Newspaper" entitled "Make the movement of friendly cooperation between China and Belarus"

[Heroic deeds]

1941 On January 30, 1941, Zhu Min bid farewell to Zhu De, who had been reunited for more than a month, with his pseudonym "Chiying", and went to the Soviet Union to study in the International Children's Home. When I first arrived in Moscow, Zhu Min came to the Young Pioneers summer camp in Minsk, Belarus for recuperation due to bronchitis and asthma. In just one night, the German army suddenly invaded the Soviet Union, and Zhu Min, who was in a sanatorium, and 20 other children from various countries became little prisoners of German fascism. After two years of imprisonment in the local area, Zhu Min was sent to a concentration camp in Germany in 1943.

In the concentration camp, Zhu Min ate moldy black bread all day long, worked hard labor, was beaten from time to time, and witnessed the fascists massacre the unarmed Jews with their own eyes. The most important way for her to protect herself is to be secretive of her true identity. Zhu Min never said a word related to the Eighth Route Army in the concentration camp. Therefore, after several years of concentration camp life, Zhu Min never spoke a single Chinese word, and she was not able to speak with others. Her long-term silence almost lost her language function, and she still couldn't speak until now.

The Russian government presented Zhu Min with a commemorative medal on the 50th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Fascist War in 1995, commending her moving deeds for not fearing violence, strictly adhering to her life experience during the Patriotic War, and tenaciously surviving in the concentration camp, and finally returning to Moscow. Story 7: Xia Minghan wrote the poem of "beheading doesn't matter"

On July 1, 2016, the conference to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China was grandly held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered an important speech at the conference.

Xinhua News Agency reporter Liu Weibing

[Xi Jinping's story]

95 Over the past 1995, the lofty ideal of communism has inspired generations of communists to work bravely, and thousands of martyrs have sacrificed their precious lives for this ideal. "It doesn't matter if the beheads are true," "the enemy can only cut off our heads and must never shake our faith." These oaths that are ready to die and righteous vividly express the Communists' firmness towards lofty ideals. The light of ideals is immortal, and the light of faith is immortal. We must remember the last wishes of the martyrs and never forget their great ideals for bloodshed and sacrificed.

——On July 1, 2016, speech at the conference celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China

[Heroic Deeds]

"It doesn't matter if beheading, as long as the ideology is true", this oath was written by the proletarian revolutionary Xia Minghan before his execution in March 1928.

In early 1928, Xia Minghan bid farewell to his wife and her newborn daughter and came to Wuhan. The Guangxi warlords, known for their barbarity, are raiding revolutionaries, and many arrested people are executed without trial. For example, when the Party faced the market depression and terror, Xia Minghan was not afraid at all, and was still running around various secret agencies to deploy a plan to "stop the riot at the end of the year".

At first, he lived in a business in Hunan and found that the Wuhan Garrison Command had set his sights on it, so he moved to Oriental Hotel to study the next step with Xu Teli, Xie Juezai, Xiong Jinding and others. A few days later, Xie Juezai suddenly informed that the traffic officer Song Ruolin was no longer reliable, so Xia Minghan returned to the Oriental Hotel to pack up his things. When he was about to transfer, the traitor Song Ruolin led the detective into the room.

After Xia Minghan was arrested, he was tortured continuously. During the torture, he only scolded the judge. Back in the cell, he knew his life was about to end. He endured the pain and wrote three letters to his mother, wife and elder sister with half a pencil. In the letter to his wife Zheng Jiajun, he also left a bloody kiss mark. Two days after his arrest, early in the morning of March 20, 1928, Xia Minghan was taken to the execution ground of Yujili, Hankou. The executive asked him if he had any last words, and he shouted, "Yes, give me paper and pen!" Then, he wrote the poem of "It doesn't matter if you behead your head." This upright word was called a revolutionary war song written in passion at that time, which inspired countless descendants to fight for it.

On October 21, 2016, a grand meeting commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Long March of the Red Army was grandly held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered an important speech at the conference.

Xinhua News Agency reporter Ju Peng

[Xi Jinping's story]

A history of the Red Army's Long March is a history that reflects the deep love between the military and the civilians. In Shazhou Village, Rucheng County, Hunan, three female Red Army soldiers stayed at the home of Xu Jiexiu. Before leaving, they cut off half of their only quilt and left it for the elderly. The old man said, what is the Communist Party? The Communist Party even has a quilt that needs to cut off half of it for the people. Being in line with the people through thick and thin, connecting with each other, sharing life and death is the fundamental guarantee for the victory of the Communist Party of China and the Red Army in the Long March, and it is also the fundamental guarantee for us to overcome all difficulties and risks.

——October 21, 2016, speech at the meeting commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army’s Long March

[Heroic Deeds]

10 In early November 1934, after the Red Army broke through the second blockade of the Kuomintang, the Ministry of Health of the Central Red Army and others were stationed in Shazhou Yao Village, Wenming Yao Township, Rucheng County, Hunan Province on the border of Hunan and Jiangxi.

On one evening that winter, three female Red Army soldiers who were unfortunately separated from the team and lost their way were hungry and exhausted, came to Shazhou Village and knocked on a broken thatched hut. The owner is a young couple. The hostess is called Xu Jiexiu, and her family is poor.

The host gave all his money and prepared a simple meal for the hungry and tired guests. After dinner, Xu Jiexiu took the three guests to the bed. It was a bed frame made of nanmu bamboo. Straw was placed under the broken mat on the bed. The female soldier hurriedly opened their only quilt...

The next day, just dawn, Xu Jiexiu and the female soldier woke up at the same time. They found that the male owner had been sleeping on the haystack at the door protecting them. The female warriors' eyes were wet. Before leaving, they decided to give the only quilt to Xu Jiexiu and his wife, but the couple refused to accept anything.

Three Red Army girls threw the quilt on the bed without saying a word, then pulled out and ran out. Xu Jiexiu quickly picked up the quilt and chased it out desperately. They pushed the quilt over and over at the entrance of the village, and couldn't stand it. At this time, a Red Army girl took out a pair of scissors from her backpack and firmly cut the quilt in half. They held Xu Jiexiu's hand and choked and said, "Sister, don't push it now. Just accept this half. When the revolution is victorious, we will come back to see you." Xu Jiexiu took the half of the quilt with trembling hands, unable to say a word, and tears flowed down...
