Lidaoshan, you may be unfamiliar with this name. But in Japan and North Korea, this is a famous figure. He is a professional wrestler from Japan from North Korea and a former national hero.
Lidaoshan was originally named Kim Shin-rok. He was born on November 14, 1924 in Xinfengli, Hongwon-gun, , Hamgyong South Road, North Korea. I have been strong since childhood. At that time, North Korea had been annexed by Japan. At the age of 15, he went to Japan to become an sumo wrestler and became a Japanese citizen. Since 1940, he has entered the sumo world under the name of "Lidao Mountain". He played a lot of games and advanced to the Guan Association in 1949.
Level-Songhui is only two levels away from the highest level of sumo wrestling, and Lidaoshan, with good qualifications, could have gone on. However, a drunken contest in 1951 changed everything. At that time, the American professional wrestling player made his first appearance in Japan for a performance. Li Daoshan challenged the Americans after getting drunk, but was defeated. From then on, he decided to leave Sumo and vowed to become a wrestler.
Li Daoshan went to the United States for two years to train. In 1954, he returned to Japan to create the first professional wrestling group in Japanese history, "Japan Professional Wrestling Alliance". Professional wrestling is different from wrestling competitions at the Olympic Games. It is an entertainment performance conducted in a competitive manner. The winners and losses of many games are negotiated in advance.
On February 19 that year, a wrestling competition attracted the attention of all Japan. NHK and Japanese TV also broadcast the entire process live: Lidaoshan PK the American NWA heavyweight king "Iron Man" Dance, challenged the belt of the international wrestling champion. As a result, Li Daoshan defeated the King of American wrestling with his unique skill "empty-handed strike" and won the championship belt.
This incident made all the Japanese who witnessed it burst into tears. Ten years after the defeat, seeing the Japanese again (the audience did not know that he was a Korean) defeated the Americans, which made the Japanese excited as if they were injected with chicken blood. This was a crowded Japanese audience watching the Lidao Mountain competition at that time.
1954 On December 22, 1954, Ridoyama knocked out the Japanese judo first person Masahiko Kimura in a game known as the "Battle of Showa Iwarijima" (The Battle of Iwarijima is the battle between Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro), and won unprecedented honors. However, it was later disclosed: the game was originally negotiated for a draw, but Li Daoyama violated the agreement and Masahiko Kimura was tragically plotted against it.
From this point on, Li Daoshan was invincible, and he won one professional wrestling throne after another, becoming a household name Japanese national hero. Because Japan's economy began to make rapid progress at that time, Lidaoshan became the spiritual driving force of the Japanese, some economists even suggested that the official change the economic prosperity during that period to "Lidaoshan prosperity".

1963, while Li Daoshan was drinking in a nightclub at Akasaka, he had an argument with a gang member Katsushi Murata because he stepped on his feet. Murata Katsushi stabbed his groin with a hiking knife and ran away. Li Daoshan was very confident at the time and sat down to continue drinking. He was sent to the hospital by his friend because he had too much bleeding. After the rescue, Li Daoshan's injury was not serious, but after being discharged from the hospital, he did not listen to the doctor's advice and overeated. A week later, the wound worsened due to bacterial infection and died on December 15.
