October 11, 2018, he was less than 27 years old at that time, he had just gotten married, and at an age full of infinite possibilities, he had not had time to manage his life like an ordinary person.
"Fuguo squad leader, Renmin University welcomes you. The school lets us teachers and classmates retired from the army pick you up at the airport."
Fuguo kept saying "Thank you, thank you..."
Maybe he has experienced such occasions many times, and he can feel the other party's at a loss. He strives to make the atmosphere return to daily life, to meet old friends, or to meet netizens.
In the car I came back, I tried to close my eyes several times to experience the painful scenes of Fuguo. When I opened my eyes, all the imagined despair disappeared instantly, and I couldn't imagine how a person would face the long night.
The theme shared by Fuguo at Renmin University this time was "Rebirth from the Ashes". It was not that he told stories alone, but a group, including his parents, his comrades-in-arms, his teachers, and students who were influenced by him came from other places.
I think this should be the "necessary condition" that supports his "rebirth". In the long night, he is not a lonely brave man who digs alone. There are beams of light shining on him.

That was the 38th day after Du Fuguo was injured. The doctor and the army leaders decided to tell him all the injuries and no longer avoid the fact that he would lose his eyes forever.
Du Fuguo, who was still leaning against the bedside and talking and laughing, was silent in an instant. No one dared to break the silence in the ward. They had even prepared several sets of "plans", and the psychologist was waiting at the door.
After a long time, Du Fuguo slowly said: "I understand, please give me some time."
I think at that moment, the "minefield" of his life was truly spread out.
I can't imagine that endless despair, how many sleepless nights will be there afterwards.
Half a month later, Fuguo gave a self-question.
