What is the "2+2" immune strategy?

Why should
implement the "2+2" immune strategy?
Because bOPV has a very small probability of security risk, IPV is safer compared with bOPV and covers a wider range of virus types . The World Health Organization has always strongly recommended that countries use IPV to replace OPV.
However, due to the limited IPV production capacity and the high price, the current national free childhood vaccination plan cannot use all IPV, and it can only be an immunization strategy of "1 dose of IPV + 3 doses of bOPV".
A few days ago, the supply of domestic IPVs is becoming more and more sufficient, and the 2+2 program is already operational feasible. The National Immunization Program Expert Advisory Committee has certified and approved the Recommendation on Adjusting the Immunization Procedure for the Polio Vaccine to Two Doses IPV and Two Doses BOPV. Jiangsu Province also issued the "Jiangsu Province Polio Vaccine "2+2" Immunization Strategy Vaccination Plan" .
According to the WHO global polio vaccine replacement plan to achieve the goal of eliminating polio, as the conditions gradually mature, the sequential vaccination strategy of polio vaccine will be transitioned from "1+3" → "2+2" → "3+1", and will finally achieve the target plan of 4 doses of IPV throughout the process.
Which babies can enjoy the "2+2" immune strategy?
For babies born on July 1, 2019 and later:
a, , in accordance with the "2+2" immunization strategy, receive 2 doses of immunization planning IPV vaccine and 2 doses of bOPV vaccine ;
b, for children who have received 1 or 2 doses of bOPV vaccine, use 2 doses of immunization regulations in the subsequent use of 2 doses of immunization regulations in children who have received 1 or 2 doses of bOPV vaccine. IPV vaccination is issued;
c. For children who have received 3 doses of bOPV vaccine, use 1 dose of immunization planning IPV vaccination;
For babies born before July 1, 2019:
Complete the full immunization process according to the pre-adjusted immunization procedure (1 dose of IPV + 3 doses of bOPV). Children born before July 1st, who have not received the second dose of polio vaccine, will be vaccinated with the second dose regardless of whether the first dose is IPV or bOPV, and their second dose can be vaccinated with the Immunoprogram IPV vaccine; any non-immunoprogram vaccine containing IPV and BOPV vaccines with IPV components can replace the routine Immunoprogram IPV and BOPV vaccines , but routine vaccination should not exceed the routine doses of each component vaccine;
7. When the fourth dose of polio vaccine is IPV, the initial age of vaccination is 18 months; when the fourth dose of vaccination is bOPV, the initial age of vaccination is 4 years old.
