The identity of a graduate of Whampoa Military Academy is difficult to fake.
As early as 1926, shortly after the establishment of the Whampoa Military Academy, the Whampoa Alumni Association was established. Since then, the Whampoa Alumni Association Organizing Committee and the Central Military Academy Graduate Investigation Section. Even in 1935, the National Government Military Committee established the Graduate Investigation Offices of various Central Military Academy Graduates, all of which were registered and identified. Therefore, even if the identity of Huangpu is fake, it will be difficult to survive.
Since 1936, the Graduate Investigation Offices of various Central Military Schools shortly established identified and registered graduates of various classes of central military schools.
Background
After the Northern Expedition , although China completed formal unification in 1928, the political situation needs to be stabilized. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Japan launched the 918th Incident and the and 128th Incident, and bullying became increasingly popular. Nanjing National Government Due to its weak strength, it made preparations for the long-term resistance to war, actively train the army and promote economic development.
The reason for registering graduates from various central military schools in 1936 was on the surface because there were a large number of graduates from various military schools. In order to prevent disadvantages and to determine the academic record, it was used to identify them. In fact, there was a background of training the army to prepare for anti-Japanese protection.
Therefore, this graduate registration is more like finding out the truth, understanding and examining the quality and quantity of graduates for easy application. The major general director of the Graduate Investigation Department who was in charge of work at that time was Liu Yongyao, a student of Huangpu Phase 1, and the grandfather of celebrity Rene Liu .
All central military schools include Central Army Officer School (Wampo Military Academy), Army University , Central Police School , Central Aviation School , gendarmerie school, Lushan Emeishan Officer Training Corps, Second and Third Army Officer Schools, as well as the army's infantry, cavalry, artillery, engineers, baggage soldiers, communication soldiers schools, etc.

Registration status
The Graduate Survey Office counted the class, period, establishment period, training period, number of graduate registrations and registration certificates according to the approved schools.
Each class of the Whampoa Military Academy has its own registration certificate, while other military academies basically have one registration certificate for each school. For example, in addition to the number 1 to 10 of the registration certificate of the Whampoa Military Academy, there are also many classes such as the Officer's Corps, Guangzhou Advanced Class, Gendarmerie Department, Wuhan Branch, etc., and the registration certificate of the graduates is different.
issue does not refer to which issues are held in total. For example, the Whampoa Military Academy had held one to ten periods by 1937, and the Whampoa Military Academy Chaozhou Branch had one to two periods.
The first phase of the Chaozhou Branch of the Whampoa Military Academy is the third phase of Huangpu, and the second phase of the Chaozhou Branch is the fourth phase of Huangpu. The military police department of the Whampoa Military Academy belongs to the second phase of Huangpu Phase, and the military police coach of the Whampoa Military Academy belongs to the fourth phase of Huangpu Phase.
The military police coaching center established in 1932 and was changed to a military police school in 1935, the academic status was not Whampoa Military Academy.
It can be said that the only two periods of the Whampoa Military Academy have set up gendarmerie education for the Gendarmerie Department and the 1926 Gendarmerie Coach Institute. In the Whampoa Military Academy, the Gendarmerie Department is called the first phase and the Gendarmerie Coach Institute is called the second phase. It was not until the Huangpu Alumni Association notice was renamed in 1928. The later constitutional police squad was no longer pure military police education.
The sixth and seventh phases of the Whampoa Military Academy are quite special. In addition to Nanjing, they also exist in Wuhan and Huangpu. This is the shadow of the breakdown of the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party and the split of Ninghan. Therefore, in addition to the branch students whose registration certificate is "Chinese characters", Wuhan Branch also has students of the sixth and seventh periods of "Chinese characters". Huangpu alma mater has also continued to recruit students of the seventh term, and the registration certificate is "pu" instead of "yellow" to show the difference.
The officer corps of the Whampoa Military Academy finally graduated 897, and 15 graduates were registered this time. All of them are because the academic status cannot be registered repeatedly, which means that almost all the officer corps students have other academic qualifications. The same is true for other classes.
Central Police School, Lushan Emeishan Officer Training Corps, Second and Third Military Academy are also included in the Central Military Academy. After the Whampoa Military Academy, the Nanjing government also set up many other junior colleges, such as army infantry, engineers, cavalry, artillery, engineers, and logistics schools.
Nowadays, many people always don’t know the difference between the early classes of Whampoa Military Academy, because there are too many early classes of classes. However, the following table is detailed and worthy of reference.
