Fuxing South Road South Extension Project starts from the south of the existing Fuxing Road Hanqiao South and ends at Zhujiang Road in the south. The total length of the road is about 8.87km. It is one of the "nine vertical and ten horizontal" main roads in our city. It is the third vertical main road in the encircled area of the Third Ring Road.
It is understood that the southern extension project of Fuxing South Road is a 6-lane urban main road with a designed speed of 50 kilometers per hour. The project is divided into three phases. The first phase of the project starts from the south side of Hanqiao, Hanqiao on the current Fuxing Road in the north. The starting point is located at the intersection of Fuxing South Road and Huaita East Road in the south. It extends south along the railway, crosses Yingbin Avenue and Kuihe in turn. After passing through Zhouzhuang Metro Station, it passes through the Jinshan Road viaduct and continues to the south. It passes through Wenchang Campus of the Mining University. The terminus of ends at Sanhuan South Road, with a total length of 2.575 kilometers.

Cross-Yingbin Avenue Zhongqiao
After the completion of the road, it will effectively alleviate the traffic pressure of vertical main roads such as Jiefang Road and Zhongshan Road, and enhance the vertical connection between cross-rail channels. It can build a short-direct connection channel between passenger hubs such as railway stations and bus stations and Tongshan urban area, which can accelerate the formation of a new traffic pattern of "convenient internal travel, smooth external transit, and smooth internal and external connection".
According to the relevant person in charge of the Shanghai Railway Institute, the general contractor of the first phase of the project, as an urban road construction project that crosses urban main roads and rivers, passes through subway stations, residential communities, and crosses through overpasses and other complex construction conditions, the following key and difficulties need to be overcome in the project construction:
1. The middle bridge across Yingbin Avenue needs to cross Yingbin Avenue with particularly busy traffic, and new bridge pile foundations and pier columns are built in the existing road green belt. During the construction period, due to the influence of road traffic guidance reform, the construction space is limited, the interference is large, and the safety pressure is high.
2. The cross-kuihe Bridge and Kuihuai Road Bridge need to set up cofferdam construction bridge pile foundations and pier columns in the river during the main flood season, which is difficult and risky.
