Audio Note also play with computer sound card? Joining EVGA Avik launches NU Audio

Abstract: Among the foreign information I have received, what surprised me the most is that the British Audio Note actually launched a brand new computer sound card with EVGA, called NU Audio. EVGA may not be very familiar to audio fans, but it can be said to be a well-known big manufacturer for e-sports players. The company, known in Taiwan as Avik, is a graphics card manufacturer that produces NVIDIA display core, and NU Audio is their first sound card.
Last year, Editor-in-Chief Liu saw the sound exhibition area where CES is getting worse and worse, and decided not to participate in the CES exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA every year in the future, and to turn the focus to the Munich Audio Exhibition in May. Although Editor-in-Chief Liu did not go to the CES exhibition, Hi End Audio still has new products. Among the foreign information received by
, what surprised me the most was that the British Audio Note actually launched a brand new computer sound card with EVGA, called NU Audio. EVGA may not be very familiar to audio fans, but it can be said to be a well-known big manufacturer for e-sports players. The company, known in Taiwan as IVIC, is a graphics card manufacturer that produces NVIDIA display cores, and NU Audio is their first sound card.
E-sports related products mostly emphasize imaging and rarely pay attention to sound performance. Before, only ASUS has launched related high-end products. EVGA claims that this audio card will bring a "living gaming experience".
NU Audio's internal materials are very high-end. The core uses an XMOS xCORE-200 processor. The DAC uses the AKM AK4493, which is familiar to audio fans, and the ADC is AKM 5572. The OP AMP in the ear expansion part also adopts a replaceable design, and the capacitors are more advanced Nichicon and WIMA products. The appearance of
NU Audio is uniquely made of an aluminum alloy shell, with a large area of heat sink inside, and a fanless design, which fully meets the needs of audio fans. There is also an RGB backlit LED on the top, which is exactly the taste of e-sports players.
NU Audio has a rich output terminal. It not only has a set of output terminals that simulate RCA, but also has 6.3mm headphone output, TOSLINK fiber, 3.5mm analog input and 3.5mm microphone input, etc. It supports two output methods: stereo analog and 5.1 channel digital. It can decode 32bit/384kHz stereo audio format when analog output and input, and can support decoding of 24bit/192kHz sound effect format when digital output and input.
Original manufacturer claims that NU Audio can drive 600 ohm high-resistance headphones. What exactly Audio Note does in this card is unknown, but the EVGA NU Audio will be officially released on January 16th. The price is unknown, so it is definitely not cheap.
▲NU Audio needs to be powered through the previous SATA power supply.
▲NU Audio's circuit board uses a six-layer board, and the wiring is gold-plated, which provides additional shielding to minimize interference.
