Instructions for visa application for foreigners to go to China (updated on August 23, 2022)
New Since the COVID-19 epidemic, the Chinese government has adjusted the visa arrangements for foreigners to go to China in a timely manner according to the needs of epidemic prevention and control and personnel exchanges.
In combination with the recent domestic instructions on optimizing visas to China, the certificate application instructions are now updated. (especially Category 4 X1 visa: long-term overseas students)
From now on, applicants can submit visa applications to the visa application service center or the Consulate General in accordance with the principles of the jurisdiction of the consular district.

Notes:
1. In addition to the necessary materials required by the above visas, applicants must also submit original passport and copy of the information page, stay card (applicable to third countries in Japan), new crown vaccine full vaccination certificate, and 1 photo.
2. Applicants must fill out and print the visa application form online (https://www.visaforchina.org), make an appointment for the certificate application time, submit the application according to the appointment time, and keep fingerprints. If you have any questions, please consult China Visa Application Service Center .
3. Emergency humanitarian visas outside the above acceptable range, such as going to China to attend a funeral or visiting critically ill relatives, you can submit an death certificate /hospital critically ill severely ill certificate and kinship certificate to apply for the corresponding visa.
4. Diplomacy and official visas can be submitted directly to the embassy and consulate.
