According to CCTV News , the State Council Earthquake Relief Command Office and Emergency Management Department immediately launched the national earthquake emergency level four response. The Ministry of Emergency Management sent a working group to Sichuan overnight to guide and assist local governments in earthquake relief work.
Currently, 450 people from the Sichuan Provincial Fire Rescue Team and 370 people from the Forest Fire Fighting Team are rushing to the epicenter to carry out rescue operations. A total of more than 1,280 people from 8 heavy and 8 light earthquake rescue teams from surrounding areas have been mobilized to prepare for emergency rescue.
