Recently, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge won the "Super Project Award" at the 37th International Bridge Conference (IBC). This "Super Project Award" was established for the first time at the conference, and it was also the first time that my country's bridge engineering won the award.

The International Bridge Conference was initiated by the Engineers Society of Western Pennsylvania (ESWP). It has been successfully held for 36 times so far, with a conference held every year. International Bridge Conference mainly award and commend outstanding bridge projects in terms of structural solutions, practicality, concepts, environmental resources, etc. The "Super Project Award" is specially established for 2020 to recognize recent outstanding achievements in the design and construction of super-large bridge projects. The projects winning this award are considered a landmark in the industry. The executive committee of the conference believes that the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge project is extremely large-scale, complex and challenging, and has made outstanding achievements in technological innovation, material innovation, aesthetic value, environmental protection and social effects, and awarded it the first "Super Project Award".
It is reported that this time the reconstruction project of the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge won the "Railway Bridge Award", the Zigui Yangtze River Highway Bridge won the "Gustavus Lindshal Award", and the new Shougang Bridge won the "Eugene Figo Award" , Shandong Tanxishan Pedestrian Bridge won the "Arthur Haydn Award", and the Yangsigang Yangtze River Bridge won the "George Richardson Award".
