The person in charge of the General Affairs Office of Jishuitan Hospital, surnamed Wu, said on August 21 that they had rectified related problems, especially the problem of the lack of a sink in the men's bathroom on the third floor of the outpatient clinic. In addition, soap dispenser boxes have also been replaced, and patrols and inspections of bathrooms have been strengthened to "resolutely put an end to fraud."

According to reports, the reason why the men’s bathroom on the third floor of the outpatient clinic did not have a sink was due to the limitations of the building structure of the bathroom. The person in charge surnamed Wu said that the outpatient clinic building is an old-fashioned building, because there are pipes in the wall of the men's restroom on the east side of the third floor. When the restroom was under construction, it was found difficult to renovate. At that time, it was considered that there were more patients coming to the third floor of the outpatient clinic for treatment. If there are too many, priority will be given to urinals rather than wash basins.

A reporter from the Beijing News learned that the staff of the General Affairs Office of Jishuitan Hospital, together with the cleaning staff, removed a urinal in the bathroom and replaced it with a sink, and affixed a mirror to the wall above the sink for convenience after using the toilet. Patient washes hands.

A person in charge of Aramark, which is responsible for cleaning the bathrooms of Jishuitan Hospital, said that many of the problems pointed out in the report, such as damaged sensor faucets, no toilet paper in toilet paper boxes, no soap in soap dispensers, and small advertisements in the bathrooms, have all been rectified. In addition, they have also strengthened training for employees and strengthened efforts to discourage smokers in the area.

A person in charge of the General Affairs Office of Jishuitan Hospital, surnamed Zhao, said today that they have completed rectifications for the problems pointed out in the report and the problems discovered by the hospital. The hospital and the leaders of Aramark are negotiating on the hospital's sanitation and cleaning issues, and will further study and formulate specific plans to ensure that sanitation and cleaning work is in place in the long term. He said that after consultation, they considered setting up a call button on the bathroom wall. If the toilet user finds the bathroom is dirty, he can press the button to call the cleaning staff to come and clean. "We will improve the hospital's sanitary environment on the basis of rectification and effectively improve the patient's medical experience."
