After receiving the alarm, the High-tech Zone Police Station of the Chuxiong City Public Security Bureau immediately launched an investigation and finally grasped the fact that Wang Mouxiang, Cheng Mou and others used gold-plated jewelry to pass off gold to defraud. In the early morning of May 13, the police successfully arrested three suspects. After investigation, the three members of the gang set out from Guizhou together and used gold-plated jewelry to defraud in many places in Yunnan Province. They also falsely reported their identity information to evade crackdowns. After arriving in Chuxiong City, they were seized by the police as soon as they defrauded more than 600 yuan.
At present, three illegal personnel have been given administrative penalties by the police station. All losses of the victims have been recovered, and relevant clues are still being further investigated.
