Speaking of his unfortunate death, several officers on duty had red eyes. "I felt so bad that I couldn't sleep at night." Unexpectedly, within 10 minutes, Li Enwei clutched his chest, staggered while walking, and could no longer hold on. Shan Chao quickly drove him to the town hospital. The usually 10-minute journey took him only 5 minutes, but he still failed to save Li Enwei's life.
When the news came, Liguo Village and the whole town were shrouded in grief. Li Enwei's father, Li Hongxin, held back tears and said, "I am a soldier. As long as there is need, I will support Enwei's problem!"
It is not earth-shattering, but it is also heart-warming.
Li Enwei is gone. This is the beginning. The "iron man" who worked hard can no longer serve his beloved hometown. As an authentic Liguo man and a water conservancy worker with 28 years of service, his busy presence can be seen in every ditch, river, bridge and culvert, and farmland in Liguo.
"Don't worry about what I have given him!" Speaking of "old subordinates", Du Changzheng, the former party branch secretary and station director of Liguo Town Water Conservancy Station, burst into tears.
There was one thing that impressed Du Changzheng the most. In 2012, Liguo Town planned to build Huanxiang Road. Since the road passes through a river, the town hired a professional company to design a culvert. Du Changzheng did not expect that Li Enwei, who usually did not talk much, would raise objections. Li Enwei modified the plan based on the actual situation and finally got approval. During the two months of project construction, Li Enwei lived and ate on the construction site. "He is like driving a nail, and he must do everything well." In 2014, Du Changzheng took a back seat, and he handed the "baton" to Li Enwei.

Liguo Town is located on the east bank of the Sishui River, close to Weishan Lake. It has been an important water transportation town since ancient times. Coupled with the needs of rural draft and water, Li Enwei's burden is not light. There were three people at the station and a small truck. When the turnover was difficult, Li Enwei drove to the scene in his private car. Many villagers know his license plate number ending: 986. They all called him "Stationmaster Li".
"If it weren't for Webmaster Li, I would have been unable to do this land contracting job long ago." Looking at his family's more than 1,400 acres of land, Li Chengli, a big farmer, repeated: "Don't forget the well digger when you are drinking water."
In 2015, among the land contracted by Li Chengli, there were more than 500 acres of "waterlogged" land. When it rained, water flowed back, and the corn in the land was not harvested. "I reported it to stationmaster Li, and the improvements were made quickly, and the harvest was guaranteed despite droughts and floods." What moved Li Chengli even more was that during the busy farming season, he sometimes forgot to pay the electricity bill when using water pumping or irrigation equipment, and Li Enwei paid for it in advance.
