Reporters learned from Shandong Provincial Department of Transportation that recently, seven operation sites including Hanting Station and Laizhou North Station of Dalailong Railway have started construction of business lines and adjacent business lines at the same time, marking the expansion of Dalailong Railway. The renovation project is fully under construction.
The capacity expansion and reconstruction line has a total length of 176 kilometers.
The investment in the main line is about 4.5 billion yuan.
The planned construction period is 24 months.

Dalailong Railway is the trunk line framework of Shandong Province's "Four Vertical and Four Horizontal" railway network - —The middle section of the Delongyan Railway, starting from Weifang Jiawa Station of Yiyang Railway in the west, passing through Shouguang in Weifang, Binhai Economic and Technological Development Zone, Changyi City, and Pingdu in Qingdao in the east. , Laizhou, Zhaoyuan and Longkou in Yantai, with a total length of 175 kilometers. Construction started in May 1999 and the entire line was put into operation in 2005.
Due to historical reasons, the technical standards of Dalailong Railway do not match the technical standards of Dezhou-Dalian Railway and Longyan Railway at both ends. It is still a pure freight, internal combustion traction, single line, and the actual operating speed is less than 60 kilometers per hour, becoming " Stuck neck" road section.
The main task of this project is to expand the capacity of the 175.761km
existing line from the end of the Deda Line to Longkou West Station. After the reconstruction, the annual freight capacity of the line will be increased from 19 million tons to 30 million tons, and the passenger transport function will be added, benefiting a population of 28 million in Dezhou, Binzhou, Dongying, Weifang, and Yantai.
