Most of the bookings are made using booking. There are more properties on booking.com. There are two B&Bs booked through airbnb. If you are invited by someone, you will get a discount of more than 200 yuan for the first booking. My best friend and I booked one night each using our respective accounts, which is a good deal. In addition, everyone highly recommends "Dayu", which is a website specializing in booking B&Bs. I got too lazy and didn't compare again.
Our accommodation throughout the trip was great. The hotel in Taipei is conveniently located. Kenting's B&B is in a great location. The room in Hualien has an incomparable sea view. Jiufen is an authentic Japanese-style B&B decorated by Japanese. The prices are all around RMB 500/night (before discounts), and the interiors are clean and tidy.
Transportation:
1. Taipei- Kaohsiung (Zuoying) high-speed rail is booked on Ctrip , plus a handling fee of 288 yuan/person, which is slightly cheaper than the price of NT$1,490 on the Taiwan High-speed Railway official website.
2. Zuoying-Kenting is a taxi shared with three Taiwanese girls, NT$400/person. The price is similar to the Kenting Express, but the speed is much faster than the bus, and it is delivered directly to the door of the B&B, so there is no need to carry luggage. Carpooling in tourist areas in Taiwan is very safe and convenient, especially for those with a lot of luggage.
3. I took a one-day trip from Kenting to Hualien. I took the East Rift Valley Line. I booked it online for 249 RMB per person. A minibus for 20 people was picked up at the door of the B&B at 8:30 in the morning and delivered to the door of the destination B&B. About 6pm. It costs NT$1,200/person to book locally, which is about the same price as online. I originally wanted to take the Taiwan Railway train to Hualien, but that would require taking a bus to Fangliao first, which takes about 1 hour, and then taking the Taiwan Railway, which takes about 4-5 hours, which would also take a day. And you have to drag your luggage everywhere. So it might as well be a day trip. Rich comrades can also charter a car for a day trip. The one-way trip from Kenting to Hualien is NT$7,000 and can seat 4 people. You can be more casual when chartering a car. It will be more convenient to park for a while wherever you want.
4. From Hualien to Jiufen is the Taiwan Railway from Hualien to Ruifang. The fastest train takes about two hours, and the slower train takes nearly 4 hours. About NT$370/person. It is best to buy one or two days in advance, otherwise you may not have a seat.
5. Taking a taxi from Ruifang to Jiufen costs NT$200-250/car and takes 15-20 minutes. Because Jiufen is on a mountain, and the bus only stops at the entrance of the old street, which is still some distance from the B&B, it was inconvenient for us to drag our luggage up the stairs, so we took a taxi.
6. From Jiufen back to Taipei, you can take a bus at Jiufen Old Street. It costs about NT$100 per person and takes 50 minutes. You can bring your suitcases on the bus. There are very few people returning to Taipei in the morning, but there will be many people in the afternoon and evening.

Beitou Hot Spring Half-day tour
Take the subway from Taipei Main Station to Beitou. Change to the new Beitou Line and take one stop to the hot spring location.
