In recent years, Gansu Provincial Department of Natural Resources has accelerated the construction of the province's "four-level and three-category" land spatial planning system, and coordinated the delineation of ecological protection red lines, permanent basic farmland, and urban development boundaries "three control lines" , establish and improve the “one map” of the province’s land and space planning. At present, the province has completed the preparation of 3,492 "multi-planning-in-one" practical village plans.

This year, the province has disposed of 5 batches of 618,800 acres of land that has not been supplied, with a disposal rate of 8.23%; it has disposed of 17,200 acres of idle land, with a disposal rate of 30.41%. The disposal rates of both approved but not supplied and idle land are among the highest in the country.
