Live Broadcast, May 13 News Recently, former Fujian team player Hu Longmao completed a media interview and talked about the reasons for leaving CBA.
When asked whether his departure from the CBA was related to Fujian's reorganization, Hu Longmao said: "At the beginning, it had nothing to do with whether Fujian was reorganized. Fujian negotiated a contract extension with me early, and there are also teams in the CBA that are interested in me.
Mainly It's because of the epidemic. In the past, you could celebrate the New Year or have about 45 days of vacation after the basketball season, so you could go back to Taiwan for the Jones Cup (an international basketball tournament hosted by Chinese Taipei ). I will stay for about a few months and then go back to the mainland. In fact, going back and forth like this is quite good for adjusting my mood. I can take a breather and rest.
But because of the epidemic, I haven’t been home for nearly 2 years. At that time, I suddenly realized why I was so homesick. I really wanted to go home and missed everything about my hometown. And I felt that Taiwan's basketball was developing well. The league had just started for a year, and it felt like the stock was starting to rise, so. The feeling of buying in quickly, so I decided at that time.
I have been outside for 10 years. It’s time to go home and spend time with my family. Then I don’t need to be bothered by the epidemic, and I can still be in front of my elders in my hometown. Playing basketball, so I feel pretty good.”
Hu Longmao was born in Taiwan, China on December 22, 1992. In the second CBA draft in 2016, he was selected by the Fujian team with the 8th overall pick in the first round. During his CBA career, he played for Fujian and Guangzhou.
