Rolled paper core

Today I will share with you a tutorial on how to transform a pen holder from rolled paper core. The materials are very simple. , which is a large roll paper core used by the workplace. If you are interested, collect one and try it out.
Materials: commercial large roll paper core, white latex, paper tape, 2mm thick gray cardboard, 0.5mm thick kraft paper, cotton linen for the surface cloth (or thick cotton cloth), ordinary cotton cloth for the lining, small-head brush, lace woven mark (optional)
gray cardboard can be replaced with other cardboard of similar thickness, the same goes for kraft paper .
1. Use a roll paper core to draw the outer outline of the bottom on gray cardboard and kraft paper and cut them out to make the two outer bottom plates of the pen holder. Take another kraft paper and cut it out along the inner circle of the roll core to make the inner bottom plate of the pen holder. (Explanation, the gray cardboard is used as the base of the pen holder, and the two kraft paper bases are used to wrap the surface fabric and lining fabric respectively). See the picture for details:
2. Use paper tape to stick the gray cardboard base to the bottom of the paper roll core.
3. Fold the paper tape stuck to the base and cut out the teeth to make it more compliant.
4. Measure the height and circumference of the paper tube and cut out the table fabric. Note: Leave 1-1.5cm seam allowance at the top, bottom and interface. Then sew a woven label slightly to the left or right of the center. Fold the interface on one side of the table fabric into a 0.5cm seam allowance (weld edge) and iron it.
5. Apply white glue evenly on the outer wall of the cylinder body, visually check the position of the cylinder body on the surface cloth, wrap it with the surface cloth, and apply white glue on the seam of the interface. After aligning the seams, press and stick.
6. For the sake of beauty, you can press the overlapping portion of the upper and lower seams of the fabric to the lower fabric and trim part of it so that it is not too thick. Be careful not to trim too much and expose the rolling paper core inside~囧.
7. Apply white glue to the outer ring of the base blank, cut the trimmed seam allowance, fold it and glue it to the base blank.
8. Apply white glue to the inner wall of the barrel mouth of the roll paper core, cut the seam of the barrel mouth, fold it to the inner wall of the pen barrel and glue it.
9. Apply white glue to the outer base of the kraft paper and stick it with the same fabric as the surface cloth. After cutting the teeth and pasting them, stick it to the bottom of the pen holder, which is the base. Then turn the bottom of the pen holder upward and press the thick book for about 5 minutes to prevent the kraft paper bottom plate from warping and deforming.
10. Apply white glue to the inner bottom of the kraft paper and stick it on the lining. Cut the teeth as above and apply glue to the bottom of the pen holder.
11. Make the inside: measure the height and circumference of the pen holder (measure the height from the inside and the circumference from the outside). Subtract 2mm from the measured height (it will look better if the inside is slightly lower than the pen holder body). Cut the kraft paper according to this size, glue the lining cloth (the method is the same as the kraft paper bottom board), fold the four sides and apply glue on the inner wall of the paper core, and stick the finished lining to the inside of the pen holder. Note that because the outer circumference is measured, the inner circumference will overlap. It doesn't matter. Just apply glue and press it tightly.

12. Glue the lace: Cut the lace according to the circumference of the pen barrel + 1cm seam allowance, trim both ends neatly, apply white glue on the upper edge of the pen barrel, the width is equal to the lace, and the seam allowance of the final interface overlaps , apply glue and press tightly.
