2022 The Taipei mayoral election is about to begin. On February 13, news came out that internal reference polls conducted by the Democratic Progressive Party in December last year and January this year showed that "blue committee member" Chiang Wanan was steadily leading, but Vice Mayor Huang Shanshan is strong and has overtaken the Democratic Progressive Party's candidates in two months from December to January, while Lin Jialong, the former head of Taiwan's transportation department, has a tendency to close the gap with Chen Shizhong, the head of the health and welfare department. In this regard, media person Huang Weihan said bluntly that he believed this poll was "untrustworthy" and felt like it was trying to boost Huang Shanshan's electoral support, resulting in a fight between blue and white, while the green camp reaped the benefits.
Regarding this "so-called Green Camp internal poll" circulating in the political arena, Huang Weihan posted on Facebook on February 14 that media reports in December last year showed that the Green Camp internal poll showed that if the DPP nominated Chen Shizhong, Jiang Wanan's support would be 28.3%, Chen Shizhong 26.7%, Huang Shanshan 20.1%; if the DPP recommends Lin Jialong, Jiang Wanan’s support will be 28.8%, Lin Jialong 22.3%, and Huang Shanshan 21.0%.
Huang Weihan pointed out that in January this year, the internal poll of the Green Camp became: if Chen Shizhong is sent to participate in the war, Jiang Wanan’s support is 31.6%, Chen Shizhong is 24.6%, and Huang Shanshan is 25.0%; if Lin Jialong is recommended to fight, Jiang Wanan’s support is 31.2% , Lin Jialong is 21.5%, and Huang Shanshan is 24.8%.
In response to this result, Huang Weihan said bluntly that if this poll is true, the Green Camp has been eliminated. Regardless of Chen Shizhong or Lin Jialong, let alone Jiang Wanan, not even Huang Shanshan can win. The Green Camp will continue to maintain the status of the third largest party in Taipei City; if If the public sentiment in Taipei is such a ratio, then Huang Shanshan will probably be elected in the end! The situation will be very similar to the battle situation in 2018, because the DPP has become the key "third force". Seeing that their candidate cannot win, the green camp voters are likely to transfer their votes to Huang Shanshan. The result will be Huang Shanshan's small victory over Jiang Wanan. The DPP continues to succeed in keeping the KMT out of power in Taipei City.
Huang Weihan said bluntly that he came to the conclusion directly. He felt that this poll was "untrustworthy" and more like a "praising" work! It is necessary to lift Huang Shanshan, forming a blue and white killing machine, and the green camp reaps the benefits. He said that to be honest, the poll numbers of Chen Shizhong and Lin Jialong were only 24% and 21%, and he did not believe it at all.
