Australia has negotiated a work and holiday arrangement with China. This arrangement allows up to 5,000 young Chinese people with higher education and English skills to experience a working holiday in Australia.
The Work and Holiday Visa offers Chinese participants a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It is also an opportunity for cultural exchange and building closer cultural ties between China and Australia.
People's Republic of China (PRC) passport holders are required to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to apply for a First Time Work and Holiday (Subclass 462) visa.
If your expression of interest is selected, the Home Office will send you an invitation to apply online for your first work and holiday (subclass 462) visa. You can only apply for your first work and holiday (subclass 462) visa after receiving an invitation letter, and you must apply online. Paper applications will no longer be used.
Please note that the selection of EOI is a random process and is not based on any criteria.
Use the EOI web form to submit an EOI. The EOI will be open until March 28, 2022.

3. The current visa processing time: 25% processing time is 28 days; 50% processing time is 11 months; 75% processing time is 20 months; 90% processing time is 21 months.
