China Taiwan Net, November 25 According to Taiwan's "China Times" report, Taiwan's Changhua police recently uncovered a fraud case and arrested a man surnamed Zhuo, including four others. The fraud gang used online chat rooms as a platform to search for commonly used mainland dating websites such as "Marriage Network" and "Century Home". After registering an account, they specifically selected mainland women as the targets of fraud. Criminals first send chat messages to talk, and after gaining trust, they then introduce investment in the stock market, real estate, funds, etc., to lure mainland women to remit investment with high rates of return. If there is a young unmarried woman, they will defraud mainland women into remittances under the guise of getting married in exchange for the right to enter the island; the initial estimate is that the fraud amounted to one million yuan (NTD, the same below).

The police yesterday uncovered the gang's fraudulent computer room and arrested the main suspects, a 20-year-old man surnamed Zhuo, a 22-year-old man surnamed You, a 24-year-old man surnamed Jiang and a 21-year-old man surnamed Luo, at a rental house in Section 2 of Zhangnan Road, Changhua City. The police seized laptops, routers, etc. at the scene. There was also a teaching manual that taught sure-fire tactics such as grabbing enthusiastic customers, continuously warming up the relationship, not repeating the same thing, selecting a large number of individuals, and constantly adding new ones.

After investigation by the police, the front-line personnel in the computer room were engaged in defrauding mainland women. For each successful defraud, they could obtain rewards ranging from 5% to 15%. According to members' testimony, the computer room has made profits of tens of thousands of yuan since its establishment in August 2016, which translates into millions of yuan in fraud.

In addition, during the search, a second-level drug amphetamine 1 package and a set of smoking devices were found in the room of the man named Jiang. After investigation, Jiang is currently wanted for drug cases. (China Taiwan Net Gao Xu)
