On February 9, the 2019 New Year Symposium for Foreign Talents and Mobile Party Members was held at the Yuehua Hotel in the city. Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Lin Baojin, Mayor Li Jianhui, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, member of the Standing Committee of the Peking University Party Committee and Vice President Gong Qihuang and other overseas talents and floating party members gathered together to discuss friendship and discuss development. Representatives of overseas talents from Puzhou, including Gong Qihuang, Lin Wenxiong, Zhu Wangzhao, Lin Xi, Lin Yuanqing, Zeng Chaohuang, Kang Xinshan, and Chen Jianxin, and representatives of party organization leaders stationed abroad, Zhang Zhixiong and Yao Wenlong, spoke freely based on their respective work practices. Lin Baojin listened and took notes, interjecting from time to time to communicate. He said that everyone made very good speeches, full of homesickness for their homeland, showing their sense of responsibility and full of good expectations for beautiful Putian. We will carefully sort out and study your opinions and suggestions and incorporate them into specific work.

He said that in the new round of catch-up development, both mobile party members and talents from abroad are indispensable and important forces for the development of his hometown. Building a beautiful Putian requires everyone's joint participation and joint efforts. I hope everyone will seize the development opportunities of Putian, give full play to their respective advantages, drive the concentration of projects, funds, talents, and technologies, and promote Putian to accelerate high-quality development and catch up; inherit Putian culture, carry forward Mazu spirit, tell Putian stories well, and spread the good news of Putian voice, continue to enhance Putian’s external influence and reputation; actively assume social responsibilities, build a brand of honesty and trustworthiness, and establish a good image of Putian merchants.
