Dort, wo ich mich entspannen kann. Vor allen Dingen fast nicht einsehbar und das isst sehr wichtig. Mitten im Dorf und trotzdem alleine."
Burghof has been a lively gathering place since its completion. Daut's family opened an ice cream shop on the street. Today, Werner Daut is becoming more and more peaceful, living a leisurely life in his "utopia", as he said: "I am very happy when I come here. For me, it is a place for me to rest and relax. Most importantly, it is not visited, which is very important. Although built in the middle of the village, it is quiet."
Mit jeder Erinnerung kommt ein Stück in Dauts Burghof dazu und eine neue Idee findet ihren Platz. Ein Ende hat er nicht im Sinn – ganz getreu dem Motto seiner Großmutter: Wer rastet, der rostet.
