#Autumn Life Check-in Season# I often hear some beautiful flowers such as roses and longevity flowers, and they are on the hot list again, but I seem to have never heard of Clivia on the list. The ornamental value of Clivia is also very high. Not only does its leaves are wide and

After raising it for a while, I found that Clivia did not disappoint me. Its appearance is indeed quite high, especially in the monotonous winter, it is indeed a pleasure to be able to appreciate such beautiful flowers and add a festive atmosphere. But why are there few people raising such beautiful flowers?

After my continuous research, I found that the reason why Clivia cannot become popular in the flower world is because it has a fatal disadvantage: it is too easy to catch arrows. The so-called arrow clamping means that flower arrows are tightly wrapped by leaves and cannot grow and bloom normally. reduces the ornamental value of Clivia to a certain extent.

Once Clivia is caught with arrows, many flower lovers feel that they can’t save them, so they think of eliminating them directly. In fact, as long as it can be handled correctly, Clivia can get rid of the arrow.

I usually choose a black plastic bag to cover the Clivia to block the light and leave it in a light-free environment. so that the Clivia will grow too long because of the lack of light. For about three days, the flower arrows will grow out of the leaves.

has said so much, do you know why Clivia has a sword? There are several reasons:

1. Too sufficient light

You may have heard the saying before, "The more the light, the more prosperous the blossoms." This sentence does not apply to all flowers and plants, and Clivia does not have much demand for light. In the spring period, if Clivia receives full sunlight, the overall plant shape will become very short, and the flower arrows will naturally grow shorter and cannot germinate normally.

Do not need to give too much light to it at ordinary times. In addition, some water and fertilizer should be applied in time to promote the growth of Clivia. Try not to leave the soil in a barren state, which will affect the growth of Clivia.

2. The temperature is too low

Although Clivia blooms in winter, it does not mean that it has strong resistance to low temperatures. If you want it to bloom smoothly, you must manage the temperature well, at least not let the temperature be lower than 15 degrees. If the temperature is too low, not only will the Clivia flower arrows not grow easily, but they will also make the leaves soft and rot, and the whole plant grows worse and worse.

If the arrow is pinched due to the low temperature, you should move the Clivia to a warm and sunny position, and ventilate more to promote the breathing of the leaves and allow the flower arrow to grow smoothly.

3, pseudobulb is wrapped too tightly

Some flower lovers may not know much about the word pseudobulb, but if you observe Clivia carefully, you will find that the base of its leaves basically includes the entire root, which is the pseudobulb. When the pseudobulbs are wrapped too tightly, flower arrows will not grow easily, so there will naturally be arrow clamping.

I personally recommend that you can use some external force appropriately to separate the leaves and not wrap them too tightly, so that it will not cause great growth pressure on the flower arrows and can reduce the chance of the flower arrows.

I feel that the actual status of Clivia does not match its charm. It should not be left unavailable for the hot-selling flowers list because of this "fatal" shortcoming. This is unfair to it.

In fact, the so-called "fatal" disadvantages can also be avoided. As long as you can use a little snack and manage it according to its growth characteristics, it can successfully bloom colorful flowers and no longer have arrows. How is your Clivia growing?
