Cactus planting strategy, these tips can help you increase your survival rate

There are more than 150 kinds of

cacti. These drought-tolerant plants can be used as a kind for beginners because they are easy to feed and live. Next, let's talk about the techniques and steps of planting.

1. Wear work gloves to protect your hands from being stabbed. Cut a piece from a healthy, disease-free cactus (choose a 6-month-old site with no blemishes or scars).

2. Place the incision on a flat soil surface and place it in a dry room at 16°C for 7 to 10 days to form callus on the edge of the incision.

3. Keep the soil moist. Put the cactus in the greenhouse and keep it at about 20 degrees Celsius, and it will soon germinate and take root.

4. Once the cactus starts to grow, you can reduce the amount of watering. Keep the temperature above 16°C at night.

5. Move sprouts and roots to a sunny window to allow it to adapt to brighter light. If you plan to plant the cactus outdoors, you can transplant it in two weeks.

6. Do not change the pots of the cut cactus for at least one year to prevent infection of fungal diseases. Spray carbendazim or chlorothalonil regularly every month.
