Misunderstanding 1: Package ≠ final price
Don’t believe in any form of packages. Responsibly, in the 15 years I have worked in the decoration industry, I haven’t seen any whole-house customized packages without any routine, and there is no exception.
A relative of mine found a custom brand some time ago. It clearly stated that the promotional page said 899 per square meter, 19,800 yuan, 22 per square meter, and all the customizations are taken home. As a result, the total quotation increased by 38,000 compared with the reservation list, and the hardware alone exceeded 12,000, which is by no means an isolated case.

Misunderstanding 2: Projection area ≠ saving money
Currently, the pricing method for whole house customized is divided into projection area and expansion area .
Simplely put, the projection area is a square cabinet door + a square three-dimensional cabinet, which includes the cabinet's laminate, bottom plate, side plate, back plate and basic hardware hinges.
This method is the most willing choice for decoration novices. It seems reasonable on the surface, and the quote seems to be very transparent, but there are many hidden pits here.
- For example, the standard cabinet doors of customized cabinets are generally 18 to 22 thick, the cabinet body is 18 thick, and the back panel is 9 centimeters thick. In order to reduce costs, the merchant replaced the cabinet with 16 thick pieces and the back with 5 centimeters or even 3 centimeters.
- For example, no matter how many cabinet doors or partitions are projected, the designer deliberately made many open designs in the plan without making cabinet doors. Most of the internal layout is a wardrobe area, and practicality is not considered at all.
- For example, some owners have the need for L-shaped cabinets, but the L-shaped corner positions are counted repeatedly.

You can ask the merchant to quote you a price according to the expanded area. The expanded area means disassembly and spread the cabinet on the ground to calculate the area. This method is more accurate, and it uses as much as you want and calculates as much as you want. The pricing is relatively complicated but there are few tricks.
Misunderstanding 3: Board ≠Environmental
Now, in order to have a certain competitiveness in the market, customized brands are using board environmental protection to promote it, and the names are also varied. For example: What are aldehyde-free boards , anti-aldehyde plates, clean-aldehyde plates, love-core boards, original boards, etc., which make consumers dizzy.
I would like to advise all owners here not to think that the name is good, the board must be environmentally friendly. Some time ago, an owner complained online that he used a cabinet made of Kanal plate from a Sosuo. After ventilation for a year, he still smelled very much and he didn't dare to move in at all. So, don’t blindly believe in the so-called environmentally friendly board .
In fact, the easiest way is to look at its environmental protection inspection report no matter which type of board. At present, the environmental protection grades of customized boards in the whole house are generally divided into ENF, F4 star, E0 and E1. The higher the grade, the more environmentally friendly, and of course the more expensive it is.
Xiaodong reminds: The environmental protection level of boards is related to the quality and grade of added glue. Many people say that the pellet board is not good and has poor environmental protection. But foreign big brands, such as Aige Board, and Knos Pang Board, are all used for particle boards.
However, because they use glue above MDI level, they are more environmentally friendly.Some domestic ecological boards and multi-layer boards are used because they use urea-formaldehyde resin glue . Although the glue content is less than that of granular boards, the environmental protection level is very low.
Misunderstanding 4: Edge seal ≠ quality
When you compare prices with other customized brands, salesmen and designers often use their own board edge sealing to talk about things, boasting about how good the edge sealing technology of their own cabinets is.
However, you must understand that the edge seal of the board only determines the visual effect of the cabinet. As long as it does not degummize or crack in the later stage, it will not affect the use of the cabinet.
At present, there are actually three common edge seals on the market, EVA, PUR, and laser edge seals. Among them, EVA has the lowest cost and of course the worst effect. PUR edge sealing is relatively difficult to crack, the price is moderate, and the cost performance is relatively high. Laser edge sealing is often used in imported boards, with the best effect and the most expensive price.
Laser edge sealing is relatively expensive, there is not enough budget, so there is no need to choose. Just select PUR to block edges. If the budget is limited, then PUR edge sealing of the cabinet door and EVA edge sealing of the cabinet body are more cost-effective.
Xiaodong reminds: cabinet edge sealing must look at the details, look at the real thing, and see it as the real thing. Don’t easily believe in the sales of customized brands. I have seen finished products installed in customers’ homes. EVA’s edge sealing is better than PUR, and I have also seen PUR’s edge sealing is worse than EVA.
Misunderstanding 5: Sample display cabinet ≠ floor effect
There is an old saying in the customization industry that is good, three points look at the product, seven points rely on installation, and whole-house customization is no exception. No matter what kind of good board, good craftsmanship, or good edge sealing, if the installation service is not good, these are worthless.
Many owners see that the display sample cabinets in customized stores are effective, and simply think that the same is true when they are installed in their homes. As a result, the difference between the implementation effect and the expectations in my mind is very big.
In fact, in reality, many brand custom dealers do not have their own installers at all. Your own store display cabinets are usually assembled by professional installation masters assigned by the headquarters. But in fact, the installation is outsourced when it comes to the customer's home. This has led to frequent overturning of installation and landing effects.
For example: uneven gaps in the cabinet body, large and small seams; uneven height of the cabinet door; sealing plates cut on site, inconsistent width of the upper and lower; drilling of the boards collapses, and cracking of the finish; the master does not construct according to the drawings, resulting in many details not meeting expectations...

Is there any difference between the master's skills and the comparison of the photo and the display cabinet in the store?
