Many people are wrong when buying range hoods. What we need to consider is not self-cleaning, intelligence and other functions. These functions are all icing on the cake, and what we should really pay attention to is its smoke exhaust effect.
Why is the smoke exhaust effect of your range hood so poor? Maybe it wasn't bought the right one, or maybe it wasn't ready. After all, the range hood is "buy three points and pack it in seven points". There are 10 links in total. If you do something wrong, it may cause the range hood to be difficult to use.
3 points to buy: close, suck, discharge
The range hood discharges the oil smoke from the kitchen into the flue. The whole process can be divided into three steps: close, suck, discharge. When purchasing a range hood, you should also check whether the range hood can do these three steps separately.
smoke: oil smoke is produced in the pan and will rise after it is produced. As it rises, it will spread around. The first step for a range hood is to gather the oil fume and prevent it from spreading.
smoke-collapse effect is related to the shell design of the range hood. The top-sucking range hood has a cover. The deeper the cover, the better the smoke-collapse effect. The side-sucking range hood has a board that can be turned up. The larger the board, the better the smoke-collapse effect.
Smoking: just gathers the oil smoke, but it is not enough, you still have to suck the oil smoke away. Moreover, the greater the suction force, the lower the requirement for smoking. Therefore, even if some range hoods are made into flat, they still do not diffuse the fume because the suction force is large enough.
The suction parameter of the range hood is called "air volume", the unit is "m³/minute", and is often abbreviated as "m³". The greater the air volume, the greater the suction force - the minimum air volume limit is related to the kitchen area. Choose 18m³ of the kitchen for 5㎡; choose 20m³ of the air volume for 8㎡ of the kitchen; choose 22m³ of the air volume for 10㎡ of the kitchen.

The old-fashioned houses that are directly discharged to the outdoors have no requirements for the displacement of the range hood. But now most of the smoke exhaust is flue. No matter how good the range hood is, if there is any problem in the installation process, it will not be easy to use. The installation of range hood is a very technical test. When installing a range hood, you need to pay attention to the following 7 points.
High: refers to the distance between the bottom end of the range hood and the gas stove. The height of the top suction range hood is 65~75cm; the height of the side suction range hood is 35~45cm.
is within the range of this installation height, then look at the size of the cigarette hood. The larger the smoke hood, the higher the installation height. The smaller the smoke hood, the lower the installation height.

Fixed: The fixing of the hood is already strong. After installing, you can hold the hood with your hands and shake it. No matter how hard the range hood is, it won’t move, that’s all!
If the range hood is loose, it will cause greater resonance and noise during operation. At the same time, the air inlet of the range hood is constantly shaking, which will also lead to local negative pressure unstable, affecting the effect of oil fume absorption.
Check: is at the flue entrance, and check valve must be installed. The check valve can only be ventilated in one direction, which can prevent the oil smoke from pouring in the flue. When installing the check valve, ensure the smoothness of the flue opening.If it is really bumpy, you can paste a piece of ceramic tiles at the flue entrance. After the check valve is dirty, the flip plate on it will be stuck. This results in the inability to close or open. So when cleaning the range hood every year, don’t forget to clean the check valve.
convection: range hood and gas stove installation location, be sure to hide. It cannot be installed at the door or window. The air convection here is too strong, which will affect the smoke-collapse effect of the range hood.
Under the air outlet, the diffusion height of the oil smoke will be reduced to 25cm. The oil fume was blown into the room as soon as it was generated. The range hood had no time to exhaust smoke, and the oil fume you saw would definitely not be effective.
distance: There will definitely be a distance between the air outlet of the hood to the flue. What we need to do is to shorten this distance as much as possible. This section needs to be connected by an air outlet duct, which is thinner and has greater internal pressure.
Generally speaking, the total length of the air outlet duct cannot exceed 5m. Among them, the length of the vertical part cannot exceed 1 m.
Horizontal: The entire air outlet duct is either vertical, obliquely upward, or horizontal, and there is no bending place. Pay special attention to the horizontal part.
horizontal air outlet duct must be fixed every 0.5m. Prevent the air outlet duct from collapse due to too long distance. The bent air outlet duct will form huge pressure, causing the oil smoke to be unable to be discharged in time.
