The plan will allow Samsung Galaxy phone and tablet users to use Matter-compatible smart home devices on SmartThings and Google Home, giving users more choices about how devices are controlled and purchased.

According to Samsung, if the user has been using Google Home and has a device connection, and there are devices connected to SmartThings, now users can import all devices into two applications, just use one of them. Google recently announced a Google Home update that will bring Matter support – the update will arrive later this year.
