Maintenance method for orchids during flowering
1. Reasonable watering
Orchids have high demand for moisture during flowering, and they must neither lack water nor produce water accumulation, otherwise they will affect normal growth and flowering. Generally, watering method of "dry and wet" can be adopted. After finding that the soil surface is slightly dry, watering needs to be immediately done to ensure that the soil is in a slightly moist state. If the climate is too dry, spray water on the blades appropriately to control the air humidity to above 80%.
2. Supplementary light
Before blooming, orchids can be placed in a sunny environment for maintenance and provide all-weather astigmatism to make them bloom more and more bright flowers. Note that after the buds bloom, they need to be transferred to a ventilated and light-proof environment for maintenance. If they continue to receive light, the flowers will wither early and the flowering period will be shortened.
3. Sparse flowers and buds
If the buds grow too densely during the flowering period, it is necessary to trim some of the buds. If pseudbulbs appear, it also needs to be trimmed together to reduce unnecessary nutrient consumption. After pruning, nutrients can be concentratedly supplied to vigorously growing flowers, so that they can bloom and resume growth.
