What we are going to renovate today is an old and broken-down house of 50 square meters.
This house has an area of 50 square meters. It is an old and small house with many problems and there are many areas that can be optimized. First of all, the master bedroom door is facing the mirror. This is a big problem. The bathroom is too small.
The width of the kitchen is also very narrow. Basically there is no room for maneuver. Very inconvenient to use. The owner needs a three-bedroom apartment that can accommodate a family of four, and every room must have lighting, including the living room and dining room. It is indeed a bit difficult, but it doesn’t trouble us, so let’s start the transformation.
The first thing we need to transform is the problem that the original master bedroom faces the bathroom cabinet .
Here we simply change the position of the bedroom door. Just avoid direct confrontation. Make an inward-push partition wall at the original door opening location. The bathroom cabinet is built into the recess, and the location of the original bathroom cabinet is changed to the place where the toilet is placed. In this way, we have a separate shower room, toilet and bathroom cabinet, making the entire space larger.
Since the original space is 1.6 meters, we are making a recessed space here, leaving 90 centimeters of space for the shower room, and leaving the other side of the space for the kitchen to place the refrigerator.
The kitchen here has expanded the cabinet countertop, so that we can have more kitchen operation space.
Since we want to add a bedroom and have windows, we can only occupy the space of the original dining room here. But how to plan the walls of this dining room and bedroom?
If you follow the usual method of making straight walls and right angles, although this ensures the overall squareness, there will be no room for a restaurant. So, let's take a different approach and cut a diagonal line.
The advantage of this is that it can expand the public area and allow us to have the space that our bedroom should have. At the diagonal line, we made a booth along the wall and placed a round table, which became a dining area for the family.
Finally, in the bedroom, we designed the wardrobe, desk, and bed along the wall. Everything you need.
The concave position at the door naturally fits into the shoe cabinet, which satisfies our basic daily storage. Let’s take a look at the full picture and scale.
