The original house type is an old house, located in Beijing, with an area of 77 square meters, one bedroom and two living rooms. The owner is a young couple and two cats. Since the owner prefers the Japanese style, he also hopes that the new home can be filled with healing, warmth and fireworks atmosphere just like the scenes in Japanese dramas.
From the perspective of the original house structure, the overall structure is relatively conventional. However, the narrow kitchen and overly large bedrooms have also led to serious problems of unreasonable area allocation. Therefore, during the renovation, the layout was based on two bedrooms and one living room.

Based on the existing space conditions, the layout transformation is as follows
1. The kitchen adopts an open design and is integrated with the guest dining room to make the space more transparent.
2. The bathroom is expanded to the dining room and is designed with a three-separated structure to meet the space requirements for bathtubs and showers.
3. The master bedroom is divided into two, and the room with the best lighting is used as a study.
Before the renovation
The space before the renovation was basically no different from a rental house. In addition, the kitchen and bathroom facilities were too old, so in order to avoid leaving some invisible hidden dangers, the entire space was demolished.
Porch
After the spatial structure is readjusted, there is a complete entrance area as soon as you enter the door. In this way, not only does it have a large amount of storage capacity, but it also provides a circuitous route to the space. At the same time, in order to restore the Japanese-style house to a high degree, the height difference of the floor heating was also used to create a sunken floor for the entrance, thereby minimizing the possibility of bringing dirt from the soles into the room.
Living room
Although the living room maintains the original spatial structure, when the kitchen is opened, it further expands the sense of space and strengthens the interactive nature of the space. As for the keynote positioning of the space, the soft milky coffee color is the main color, and through the warm lighting, the entire space is filled with a healing and warm atmosphere.
Since the wall between the living room and the kitchen was demolished, in order to retain the basic audio-visual functions, a mobile projection device was installed next to the sofa. In this way, it is not only very suitable for the needs of young people today, but also flexible in daily use.
The cattery designed by using the corner of the balcony cleverly solves the space needs of the two cats, and is also conducive to dispersing odor without affecting life at all.
The dining and kitchen area
uses the extension of the partition bar to place the dining table . Although the space experience is not as open as the previous restaurant, it is warm and formal enough under the lighting and the two retro crystal chandeliers on the top. . The two socket designs on the side of the bar also provide great convenience for daily life.
Abandon the traditional double-trough basin and choose a small-sized single-trough basin, which not only saves a lot of workbench area, but is also completely sufficient when there are only two people living in the home.
To enhance the Japanese-style attributes of the space, both the partition bar and the cabinets use solid wood countertops. Although it seems that stone countertops are not as easy to take care of, you only know how easy it is to use after experiencing them.
The Japanese-style gas stove with its own open flame barbecue is indispensable for people who like good food, and its compact size is also very friendly to small apartments.
At the corner of the cabinet, a set of L-shaped high cabinets is designed. In this way, whether it is small kitchen appliances, washing machines, clothes dryers , they are all properly stored and have strong storage capabilities.
Master bedroom
After the master bedroom was divided into two, in order to have a quiet and peaceful sleeping environment, a room without lighting was used as a sleeping area. There are two windows reserved at the top of the wall. Although the lighting capacity is relatively average, it is still completely sufficient for daily ventilation.
Secondary Bedroom
Secondary Bedroom is a functional room in the home, integrating multiple functions such as storage, office, leisure, and fitness. At the same time, flexible furniture selection also provides more changes for later adjustments.
Bathroom
After the bathroom was enlarged, it formed a three-separated structure of bath, toilet and basin. In this way, both functionality and comfort are optimized. At the same time, the mini basin design in the toilet room also alleviates the congestion of getting up early to wash up.
Looking at the entire case, although the layout of the restaurant is weakened, the functionality and comfort are not affected at all. But the most surprising thing is the owner's self-disciplined lifestyle. Even if the space is small and there are a lot of clutter in the house, he still manages to be well organized and fill his life with fireworks.
