After pruning and drying the roots, I forgot to soak them with insecticide. And last year, I didn’t add carbendazim and imidacloprid and slow-release fertilizer to the soil. My consideration is that the window sill maintenance watering frequency is relatively small, and the slow-release fertilizer will not be used up for 2 years after being put in, which will have a certain impact on the coloring in autumn and winter. In the spring and autumn growing seasons, if you increase the frequency and amount of watering (I water them directly with tap water), the succulents will grow quickly.

So I didn’t add pesticides when mixing the soil. I only sprayed pesticides and irrigated the roots when I found insects. In the beginning of spring, when the temperature rises and insects become active, spray insecticides in the evening when the sun sets. Generally, spraying 2-3 times before summer is enough. Basically, no insect infestations are found throughout the year. The insecticides I use are mainly imidacloprid and cyhalothrin in rotation. Generally speaking, unless pests are found, spraying 2-3 times a year is enough.
