What is "poor cooling"?

"Poor cooling" is a subjective feeling of people. First of all, we need to clarify whether this "poor cooling" is caused by the failure of the air conditioner. You can check the temperature of the air outlet first:

When the air conditioner is just turned on, whether it is a fixed frequency air conditioner or an variable frequency air conditioner , it will work at full power. At this time, measure the temperature of the air outlet (buy a temperature gun and measure it).

If you are not worried, you can also measure the air outlet temperature of the outdoor unit (forget it if you are in a high-rise building, it is too dangerous). Under normal circumstances, when the air conditioner is cooling, the air outlet temperature of the outdoor unit should be more than 8℃ higher than the air outlet temperature of the indoor unit.

If you find that the temperatures are normal after measurement, you need to find other reasons. For example, is the thermal insulation of the room relatively poor? Reasons such as the deterioration of the sealing performance of windows and doors, or the aging of the exterior wall insulation layer may lead to the situation of "it was used well last year, but will not be cooled this year".

A dirty filter will cause the evaporator's heat exchange rate to slow down. The hot air cannot be sucked away, and the cold air cannot be blown in. Judging from the usage experience, the cooling effect has become worse.

Everyone should know how to remove the filter, so I won’t go into details here. After removing the filter, don't forget to take a look at the metal mesh behind the filter - this thing is called the "evaporator".

If the surface of the evaporator is dirty, it will have a greater impact on the refrigeration effect of the air conditioner. In serious cases, it may cause water leakage and other malfunctions. Cleaning the evaporator is troublesome, and you need to buy a special cleaning agent (you can search for it online).

Spray the detergent on the evaporator and turn it on. Use condensation water to wash away the detergent foam to complete the cleaning of the evaporator. If the surface is still dirty after cleaning, you can only call a professional after-sales service to clean it. Don't wipe it with a rag. If it gets slightly crooked, the entire air conditioner will basically be scrapped.

Method 2. Level

Think back, from the time you used the air conditioner last year to now, have you ever encountered the internal unit of the air conditioner (including moving the unit)? If so, the level of air conditioning should be considered.

Regardless of whether it is a cabinet or an on-hook unit, the air conditioner needs to be kept level.

When using an air conditioner, we have all seen it. There is a white hose next to the outdoor unit that flows water outward.This is because the temperature on the air conditioner evaporator is too low, and condensation is formed after the air in the room encounters it.

There is a small slope inside the air conditioner, so that after the condensed water is generated on the evaporator, it can automatically flow downward, into the hose, and then outside.

If the air conditioner is not level, it will damage the water flow system and cause condensation water to accumulate on the evaporator. If the time is longer, ice will also form on the surface of the evaporator. After freezing, it will naturally affect the heat dissipation of the evaporator, causing the cooling effect of the air conditioner to become worse.

So you might as well check whether the air conditioner is level, not just left and right, but also front and back (some air conditioners tilt forward, which will also prevent condensation from flowing away).

Solving this problem is very simple: just hold the air conditioner with your hand and adjust it slightly. Many mobile phones have the level function (roadside stationery stores also have simple levels, which cost one or two yuan each). Using the level can help us better complete the adjustment work.
