1. Introduction to the German AgBB VOC standard
AgBB is the abbreviation of the German Building Products Health Evaluation Board, and DIBt is the German Building Technology Association. AgBB/DIBt certification is a health evaluation of VOC and SVOC emissions from building products. The full name of VOC is: Volatile organic compounds-Volatile organic compounds.
2. German AgBB VOC German volatile organic compound testing principle
There are more than 100 kinds of VOC in the general indoor environment. The common ones are: benzene, toluene, xylene, para-dichlorobenzene, Ethyl benzene, Styrene ), formaldehyde (Formaldehyde), acetaldehyde (Acetaldehyde), etc. Environmental regulations usually consist of two systems - mandatory and voluntary. Voluntary standards are often more complete than mandatory standards. Voluntary provisions are generally administered by independent special interest agencies, and government regulations always consist of mandatory provisions. The most well-known among government regulations is the VOC emission rate standard for interior decoration materials set by the German Institute of Building Technology (DIBt). The research results of
DIBt are the basis for the proposals for the entire EU regional regulations. In Germany, DIBt provides limited guidance values for the Interior Building Products Association to control the release of VOC and SVOC in interior decoration materials. However, DIBt has limited control over the release of TVOC and SVOC. Certain VOC monomers (such as styrene, toluene, 4-toluene, 4-vinylcyclohexene) and the total amount of certain types of VOC (such as the total amount of saturated n-aldehydes, the total amount of aromatic aldehydes) have certain limitations sex.
