The owner of this 160-square-meter second-hand house is a happy family of three. Because the couple basically works from home to take care of their children, the family spends more time at home and has high requirements for the home environment. Integrating life, work and children into one home without disturbing each other is also a challenge in terms of decoration.
Before renovation:
The past decoration style was too old-fashioned and definitely did not meet the aesthetics of the owner, so it was demolished and renovated. It was mainly white, with wooden furniture and a design without main lights, giving the entire house a completely new look. In addition to a large sofa and a TV, other furniture can be left alone, leaving more space for family and children to move around.
The balcony door was removed and transformed into an arched door opening, which enlarged the space of the entire living room and made it appear more spacious. The balcony is not used to dry clothes, but is used as a restaurant with a long table to facilitate family dining. A circular open grid is created against the wall to store some tableware and ornaments as decoration.
The living room and the second bedroom are directly connected and transformed into an open children's entertainment room, giving the children ample space for activities and a visual sense of a "big horizontal hall". Build a whole row of bookcases against the wall to store books for children and the couple, adding a bit of a bookish atmosphere.
A TV is also installed in the children's room. The cabinet door can be pushed and pulled to cover the TV. Parents can also control the time their children watch TV.
On the other side by the window, a tatami bed is built for children to rest. The children can take a lunch break here and also meet the storage needs. The room is covered with carpets, so you can play with your child and let her grow up happily.
The kitchen has a U-shaped countertop. In order to interact with the living room, an indoor window is left on the wall. The entire kitchen space is encircled, with reasonable circulation and complete kitchen appliances, making it convenient to prepare various delicacies for children.
The storage cabinet is embedded on the other side and used as a storage room in the kitchen to store various foods and electrical appliances.
The master bedroom has an extra-large bed, where children can also sleep together. A cabinet was added at the end of the bed as a partition to create a walk-in closet.
The children's room has a small bed for children to sleep on, leaving more space for children to play.
Although there are many rooms in the house, considering that the couple usually works from home, they simply do not leave a guest room. One bedroom is used as the wife’s study and the other is used by the male owner without disturbing each other. This is a really smart move.

The sink and bathtub in the main bathroom are made of bricks, which is convenient for bathing the children.
The guest bathroom uses a glass partition to create an independent shower room, which separates dry and wet areas, making it cleaner and more hygienic.
I can work quietly at home and accompany my children to grow up. After seeing the renovated house, the couple were very satisfied. It is not that the owner of the house is following suit, but I have to say that there is no guest room in the house and it is really good to change it into two study rooms. It’s easier to use.
