Foreword: The dream returns to the east of Longyuan, and the history and literature are full of autumn dust.
(Mengguiqiuchen: Issue 123)
"The emperor guards the gate, the emperor dies at the society", this is what many people think of the Ming Dynasty. But what everyone doesn't know is that in the early Ming Dynasty there was a fierce general who even feared Zhu Yuanzhang. He was the number one fierce general under Chen Youliang— Zhang Dingbian.
and Zhang Dingbian was historically defined as the "first warlord at the end of the Yuan Dynasty", and there are many descriptions of this warlord:
一, Half the sky of the fisherman.
In history, Zhang Dingbian was not only wise and courageous, but also proficient in the art of war and medicine, and later joined forces with Chen Youliang to establish Chen Han. At the same time, Zhang Dingbian was also a fierce general. During the battle with Zhu Yuanzhang in Anqing, Zhang Dingbian risked his death to rescue Zhu Yuanzhang. In every battle, Zhang Dingbian takes the lead and is not brave enough. Later, Zhu Yuanzhang and Zhang Dingbian fought in Poyang Lake, and Zhang Dingbian's successive beheading of the three generals of Zhu Yuanzhang made the enemy fearful.
We can actually analyze it this way. In the process of Chen Youliang's establishment of the entire Chen Han regime, Zhang Dingbian’s activity is indispensable. His bravery was second to none, even Chang Yuchun and Xu Da were slightly inferior to Zhang Dingbian at the time.
Second, the home of the fierce general.
But since the Battle of Poyang Lake, Zhang Dingbian has disappeared, so the people began to spread the home of different versions of Zhang Dingbian:
1. flow.
After the Wuchang battle, Zhang Dingbian felt that Chen Han was gone, so he changed his name and changed his surname. According to legend, Zhang Dingbian eventually returned to his hometown and died at the age of ninety. At this time, Zhang Dingbian was already full of children and grandchildren. He failed to help Chen Youliang establish a prosperous age that belonged to Chen Han, but he witnessed the establishment of the Ming Dynasty by Zhu Yuanzhang.
He witnessed that the people live and work in peace and contentment, and no longer run away to escape the war. So Zhang Dingbian is lucky on the whole, after all, his life is relatively perfect.
2. Escape into the empty stream.
After Chen Youliang died, Zhang Dingbian was unwilling to be Zhu Yuanzhang's surrender, and then escaped into the empty gate. From then on, Zhang Dingbian studied Buddhism, benevolent and benevolent, and no longer pays attention to the human world. Moreover, he often uses his medical skills to help those in need.
In Hongwu ten years, 59-year-old Zhang Dingbian found a tiger while practicing in Qixia Mountain. However, Zhang Dingbian immediately killed the tiger. This shows how powerful Zhang Dingbian's martial arts is.
3. "Hedgehog" flow.
This version comes from "Those Things in the Ming Dynasty". According to legend, Zhang Dingbian is indeed very fierce, but he is different from other fierce generals. General fierce generals would chop in places with few people, but Zhang Dingbian likes to chop in places with many people. Thus, Zhang Dingbian was invincible in the Battle of Poyang Lake, and he was alive as Zhao Zilong with seven in and seven outs in Changbanpo.
But although there is no Romance of the Three Kingdoms at this time, Zhu Yuanzhang seems to have peeked at Luo Guanzhong's draft of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. In order to prove that he was not Cao Cao in Zhao Zilong's seven-in and seven-out process, Zhu Yuanzhang ordered all arrows to be sent, and Zhang Dingbian was shot as a hedgehog.
Third, analyze the fate of Zhang Dingbian.
On the above three versions, we can conduct more detailed analysis and reasoning.
First of all, novels can be directly excluded.
Secondly, even if Zhang Dingbian really wants to escape into the empty door,Zhu Yuanzhang would not let him live to pose a threat to himself. Therefore, Zhang Ding's escape into the empty door can also be ruled out.
In the end, there are only two possibilities: Zhang Dingbian’s incognito and death. In the family tree of the king's surname in Xiantao, Hubei, it is recorded that his ancestor Zhang Taiwei is a descendant. According to historical records, during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, when Wang Bingnan, a former magistrate of Shaanxi, presided over the compilation of Wang's genealogy, there was a record that Zhang Dingbian was his ancestor.
At the same time, in the early Qing Dynasty, there were also records that many Wang families changed their surnames to Zhang. They only said that this was a last wish passed down by the ancestors. All these combined with Chen Han is mainly located in Hubei, although we are not absolutely sure that the surname of Xiantao Wang is a descendant of Zhang Dingbian. But we can be sure that Zhang Dingbian, the first fierce general in the late Yuan Dynasty, will eventually go incognito and wander around.
And Zhang Dingbian’s bravery is just like his name, and it is destined to become a brilliant and glorious page in the five thousand years of Chinese history.
