Chen Dingshan, a famous calligrapher and painter of the Republic of China, said: "Modern youth think that Xu Zhimo is the saint of love. In fact, I think it is easy to be Xu Zhimo, but it is difficult to be Weng Ruiwu ."

Who is Weng Ruiwu? He was the son of Weng Shouqi, the prefect of Guilin in the late Qing Dynasty. He was a famous doctor, painter, and collector. He was also an opera lover who was deeply appreciated by Mei Lanfang . However, what really made the world remember him was two other tags - Xu Zhimo's friend, who supported his lover who had a length of 30.

Lu Xiaoman has suffered from asthma and severe stomach disease since childhood, and she is in pain. Xu Zhimo visited famous doctors for her but failed. Later, he entrusted his friend to invite the famous Weng Ruiwu to come out.

Weng Ruiwu was educated by the famous doctor Ding Fengshan. At the age of 18, he became famous in Shanghai for his massage technique. Lu Xiaoman fainted several times, and it was all up to him to recover. After Weng Ruiwu's massage, Lu Xiaoman not only suffered a lot of pain, but also his temper eased. Xu Zhimo is very grateful for this.

With a common hobby in calligraphy, painting and opera, Xu Lu and his wife quickly became friends with Weng Ruiwu. They went out for an outing together and performed charity on stage, and their relationships were very speculative.

As we spend more and more time together and with similar aspirations, Weng Ruiwu became Lu Xiaoman's most trusted confidante. At his suggestion, Lu Xiaoman began to smoke opium in order to relieve the pain. During that time, the two of them often lie on the second floor of the Xu family together, smoking and smog.

has been around for a long time, and it can't help but cause gossip. Whenever this happens, Weng Ruiwu will always say with confidence: "I came here by Zhimo!"

Xu Zhimo is also an open-minded person. He also defended his wife and friends: "There is a difference between love and love between men and women, and husbands must not interfere with their wife making friends."

Xu Lu and his two trust in Weng Ruiwu at this point, which is also due to Weng's righteousness and true nature.

As a socialite, Lu Xiaoman is used to a luxurious life and spends money. In order to cater to her habits, the Xu family has raised more than a dozen servants, including servants, chefs, coachmen, etc. This is all due to Xu Zhimo's income alone, which is sometimes difficult to maintain.

When Weng Ruiwu learned about it, he sold his treasured calligraphy and paintings to support them. Before Xu Zhimo went to Europe for the second time, he was short of money, and Weng Ruiwu sent a batch of antiques to solve his urgent needs.

The family economic crisis has come to this point, and Xu Zhimo often advises Lu Xiaoman not to spend money and spend his youth again, but the willful Lu Xiaoman doesn’t care about these things, she just needs to have wine and get drunk today.

In order to satisfy his wife's expenses, Xu Zhimo had to teach in , Peking and Shanghai, traveling north and south. By June 4, 1931, Xu Zhimo had sent nearly 3,000 yuan to his home within less than four months after he went to Beijing. He stipulated that Lu Xiaoman could only spend 500 yuan per month, but 500 yuan was not enough for his wife's expenses.

Xu Zhimo was so anxious that he couldn't even sleep well. As a poet, he even worked as a real estate agency for a time, hoping to earn some commissions to subsidize his family income, but this little money was not easy to make, which made him so busy that he had no time to write poetry.

In November 1931, Lu Xiaoman sent several telegrams urging Xu Zhimo to go home. Xu Zhimo was very happy and thought that his wife missed her, so he hurried back to Shanghai on the 13th.

But who knew that when he got home, he saw Lu Xiaoman still sucking mist on the couch, and sent so many telegrams to urge him to come back just because he was short of money.

Xu Zhimo was discouraged and the two had a big quarrel. Lu Xiaoman was still angry and injured Xu Zhimo's face with a cigarette gun. While dodging, his golden glasses were broken. Xu Zhimo left home sadly and did not return overnight.

He was lingering outside for many days, thinking that Xiaoman would return to his arms after he was relieved, but he didn't expect that what he saw when he returned home was the heartless letter she left to him.

, heart is like ice, Xu Zhimo decided to return to Peiping again. Before leaving, he found Weng Ruiwu and asked for a plea, hoping that he could take good care of Xiaoman when he was not at home. Weng Ruiwu solemnly promised, but he didn't expect that this entrustment would become a perfect decree.

On November 19, 1931, the free flight Xu Zhimo was riding crashed in Baima Mountain, Shandong. The news came and Lu Xiaoman fainted on the spot. After waking up, she struggled to go to Shandong to recognize the body. Her relatives were worried that her body would not be stimulated anymore, so they stopped her.

, Weng Ruiwu traveled starry night and rushed to the scene of the plane crash to collect the body for Xu Zhimo and handle the funeral.

Xu Zhimo's sudden death had a great blow to Lu Xiaoman. What made her even more painful was that Xu Zhimo's friends stood up to accuse her of being extravagant, which led to Zhimo's exhaustion of making a living and unfortunately died.

Lu Xiaoman's father-in-law Xu Shenru also attributed his son's death to Lu Xiaoman. Amid the overwhelming accusations and abuses, only Weng Ruiwu was by his side day and night, constantly releasing Lu Xiaoman.

The year Xu Zhimo passed away, Lu Xiaoman was only 29 years old, in her prime, and had many suitors. Soon after, someone advised her to remarry, but Lu Xiaoman always loved Xu Zhimo deeply and was unmoved.

After her husband died, Lu Xiaoman seemed to have completely changed. She stayed in the door like a dream, stayed in a quiet place all day long, never had a banquet for guests, nor did she go to the dance hall to dance... She hung a large portrait of Xu Zhimo in her bedroom, and every few days, she had to buy a bouquet of flowers to offer to him.

Lu Xiaoman said: "The beautiful flowers are Shima, and they will never wither, so I will not let the flowers wither for a day."

To a certain extent, Xu Zhimo used death to exchange for Lu Xiaoman's sudden remorse, and also made her suddenly realize her deep love for her husband in her heart. But all of this came one step late.

When Xu Zhimo died, Xu Shenru hated her daughter-in-law to the core, but after Hu Shi negotiations, she still agreed to give her 300 yuan in living expenses every month. However, in 1938, the seventh year after Xu Zhimo passed away, Xu Shenru was unwilling to give the money, because Lu Xiaoman had already lived with Weng Ruiwu.

According to Lu Xiaoman herself, she and Weng Ruiwu had no relationship at first. Just because Xu Zhimo has been extremely sad and in poor health since the plane crash, Weng Ruiwu's treatment has become more frequent.

At that time, Weng Ruiwu was busy with work. Sometimes it was too late when he arrived at the Lu family, so he simply slept on the smoke collapsed on the second floor. When Xu Zhimo was alive, Weng Ruiwu often stayed on the second floor of Xu's house. Lu Xiaoman got used to it and didn't rush him to go to the third floor to sleep. But although the two were open-minded, rumors spread like wildfire.

Not long after, Lu Xiaoman received a letter from Xu Shenru with 300 yuan and a letter that read: I know that Mr. Weng has lived with you and will stop next month.

Weng Ruiwu later learned that it was Lu Xiaoman's father-in-law Xu Shenru spent money to bribe the doorkeeper and monitored his every move. He couldn't help but be furious and simply moved it to the third floor and set up another one, and decided to bear Lu Xiaoman's life from then on. This move is naturally out of his long-lasting love for Lu Xiaoman, but Lu Xiaoman does not love Weng Ruiwu.

The contradiction is that Lu Xiaoman, who has been accustomed to being supported by others throughout his life, has no ability to support himself without the support given by his father-in-law. In this dilemma, she accepted Weng Ruiwu, but she made three rules with Weng: "He is not allowed to abandon his first wife, and the two will not get married formally."

After that, the two of them officially lived together, and Weng Ruiwu took care of Lu Xiaoman's life almost in full.

Weng Ruiwu's family has a virtuous wife Chen Mingliu and five children. While supporting the family, he has to continuously support Lu Xiaoman, who has a huge expense, and spend money to let her learn landscape painting from He Tianjian, which is a heavy financial burden.

For this reason, Weng Ruiwu took the position of accounting section chief in Jiangnan Shipyard , and his income was enough to maintain the expenses of the two families.

Weng Ruiwu's concern for Lu Xiaoman in life is meticulous. Lu Xiaoman didn't drink milk and loved to drink human milk, so Weng Ruiwu hired her a nurse. In the era of scarce supplies, in order to maintain Lu Xiaoman's life, he did not hesitate to queue up in the scorching heat and the severe cold, sometimes just to buy her a piece of meat and a bag of chocolate.

When Weng Ruiwu's daughter sent food in Hong Kong, he only took one tenth of it himself, and the rest were given to Xiaoman. When Lu Xiaoman fell ill, Weng Ruiwu Duan Decoction was given medicine and kept leaving.

Later, Weng Ruiwu got lung disease and resigned at home. He and Lu Xiaoman had no source of life.Weng Ruiwu even sold his ancestors' calligraphy, paintings and antiques, as well as his own large-scale tea mountains and real estate, and almost broke the bankruptcy.

seal engraver Chen Julai once commented on the relationship between Weng and Lu: "Wang Ruiwu and Lu Xiaoman cannot simply blame him for 'My friend's wife cannot be bullied'. Lu Xiaoman never works for production, and he has always been in black (smoke) and white (farm) supply. After Lu Nian's old and deteriorated, Weng still serves him and cannot be considered a very strong friendship."

Weng Ruiwu has been working for Lu Xiaoman for decades, with deep love and friendship, and this kind of love has greatly hurt her first wife Chen Mingliu, an old-style virtuous woman who loves her husband deeply and follows Three Obediences and Four Virtues .

On July 14, 1952, Chen Mingliu died of illness.

Daughter Weng Xiangguang looked at her mother who had just died, heartbroken. Looking at his father who had just arrived in a hurry, Weng Xiangguang couldn't help but criticize his father: "Why didn't you divorce your mother earlier? If you divorced early, she could find a good person to live a comfortable life for a few years."

After scolding his father, Weng Xiangguang was still unfair for his mother. She ran to Lu Xiaoman's residence and pointed at Lu Xiaoman and shouted: "Why did you catch my father? Why? Why? You say, tell me!"

Lu Xiaoman looked at the sad Weng Xiangguang and remained silent, only guilt for the Weng family.

After Weng Ruiwu's first wife passed away, Lu Xiaoman officially became his reunion. Lu Xiaoman's personality is more laissez-faire, while Weng Ruiwu always kind-heartedly and caring for her.

Lu Xiaoman was discriminated against by the Xu family for divorced and remarried Xu Zhimo for Wang Geng , and even the funerals in the clan were not allowed to participate. After living with Weng Ruiwu, she did not attend such ceremonies of the Weng family, and she was often depressed at this time.

Weng Ruiwu can always guide her side by side to relieve her worries. He is a funny and funny person, so whenever Lu Xiaoman uses him as a joke before and after tea, the depression in his heart has already relieved.

It’s like this. After Xu Zhimo’s past life, Weng Ruiwu and Lu Xiaoman stayed in harmony for more than 30 years. Later, although Weng Ruiwu betrayed Lu Xiaoman in his later years, he embezzled his student Guan Xiaobao, gave birth to a son, and was sued in court, but Lu Xiaoman had no emotional upset.

She even defended Weng Ruiwu in court, and later raised Guan Xiaobao's child.

In response to this, Lu Xiaoman said frankly: "The reason why I am not jealous at all is that I only have friends for Weng Ruiwu, and there is no love anymore." But Weng Ruiwu on the other end never let go of Lu Xiaoman until his death.

1961, Weng Ruiwu, who was already in the late stage of lung cancer, made him and Lu Xiaoman's close friend Zhao Jiabi and Zhao Qingge at home, and clasped his fists to them and said, "Please ask the two to take care of Xiaoman in the future. I will be grateful to you all in the nine springs."

1961 On January 9, 1961, Weng Ruiwu passed away. That day, Lu Xiaoman had just taken a lot of sleeping pills and stumbled for him when he finished his death, but he never shed a single tear.

After this, Lu Xiaoman even started arguing with Weng Ruiwu's children over setting up a spiritual platform. Weng Ruiwu's children wanted to set up the spiritual platform at Lu Xiaoman's place, but Lu Xiaoman refused on the grounds that he did not officially marry Weng Ruiwu.

After Weng Ruiwu's death, Lu Xiaoman in his later years had no parents, children, and husband, and his life was lonely and miserable.

In the Mid-Autumn Festival in 1964, Lu Xiaoman was admitted to Shanghai East China Hospital due to emphysema and asthma.

On April 3, 1965, four years after Weng Ruiwu's death, Lu Xiaoman died at the age of 63.

The funeral ceremony of Lu Xiaoman, who was incredibly glorious during his lifetime, was extremely simple. There was no tiles and no children behind her, so naturally no one asked to bury her ashes. Before her death, she had a wish to be buried with Xu Zhimo, but was ruthlessly rejected by Xu Zhimo and Zhang Youyi's son Xu Jiakai .

In this way, Lu Xiaoman's ashes had nowhere to be placed, so they could only be placed in the funeral home. Later, the situation was turbulent, the funeral home moved several times, and Lu Xiaoman's ashes were also lost in a state of confusion.

It was not until 1988 that Lu Xiaoman's cousin and his friends invested together to build a memorial tomb for her in the Overseas Chinese Cemetery in Dongshan, Suzhou. The above is a photo of Lu Xiaoman smiling like a flower when he was young, with the inscription "First the Tomb of Aunt Lu Xiaoman".

"How hard it is to write, it is half a tired life." For Lu Xiaoman, who has been pursuing love all his life, these nine words have undoubtedly become the most ruthless mockery of her.

Wen Ruiwu did not wait for Lu Xiaoman until he died, but Lu Xiaoman still lost Xu Zhimo until he died. I have to say how painful it is in this world!
