In 1953, a middle-aged woman dressed in plain clothes suddenly appeared in front of the gate. The other party called herself "Premier Zhou's wife". She wanted to see Premier Zhou, which surprised everyone. Because everyone knows that Premier Zhou’s wife is Deng Yingchao, when did he have another wife? Unexpectedly, when Deng Yingchao heard about this, he not only wasn't angry, but he personally cooked a few dishes for the woman and warmly treated the woman with Premier Zhou. So, who is this woman? Why did she call herself Premier Zhou’s wife? Why does Deng Yingchao attach so much importance to her?

was born on March 31, 1905 in a doctor's family in Yanling Louxia Village, Fogang County, Guangdong Province. He lived a life of food and clothing since childhood and received a good education. Because her mother died early, Fan Guixia was raised by her father since childhood. Her father Fan Xinyi also loved her daughter very much and was open-minded, encouraging her daughter to pursue the life she wanted.

With the support of her father, Fan Guixia has loved reading since she was a child and is good at thinking. At this time, China is in a serious disaster, and Fan Guixia has been thinking about how to save the country all year round. After the Protection Movement , Guangdong became the center of the Chinese revolution for a long time. Fan Guixia grew up in such an environment, and her thoughts were deeply influenced by the revolutionaries.

1923, Chen Jiongming was defeated, Sun Yat-sen returned to Guangzhou and vigorously promoted the strategy of "alliance with Russia, the Communist Party of China, and assisting farmers and workers". The first cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party was vigorously carried out. At this time, Fan Guixia, who was studying at the Affiliated Normal School of Sun Yat-sen University, also responded positively and joined the Guangdong New Student Society, Guangdong Women's Liberation Association, and Chinese Communist Youth League and other revolutionary organizations. She actively carried out publicity work on campus and often organized workers' movements, becoming a highly anticipated activist.

During this period, Fan Guixia's thoughts were gradually influenced by Marxism. Not only did Fan Xinyi not stop her daughter's tendency, but instead strongly supported her. So Fan Guixia actively moved closer to the party organization and officially joined the party soon after.

1926, the vigorous Northern Expedition began, and the National Revolution reached its climax. Fan Guixia was very excited to see that the National Revolutionary Army was finally going to lead the troops to march 2 to march 3 and defeat the great powers and eliminate the warlords. She was already an executive member of the Guangzhou Women's Liberation Association. He organized women to carry out logistics work, sew clothes and cloth shoes for frontline soldiers, and vigorously promoted Marxist ideas.

At this time, Fan Guixia kept seeing good news from the front line from the newspapers. Changsha, Nanchang , Wuhan, Fuzhou, and Hangzhou, major cities were captured by Northern Expedition Army . The Northern Expedition Army almost captured the entire Southern with two provinces. Seeing the Northern Expedition Army winning step by step, Fan Guixia was also full of confidence in the future. She believed that the Northern Expedition Army would soon liberate the entire China, and a bright future was about to come. This was not only Fan Guixia’s idea, but also the idea of many people from our party and the left-wingers of the Kuomintang at that time.

Unfortunately, this bright future is shattered by the right-wing Kuomintang sects such as Chiang Kai-shek . In April 1927, when the Northern Expedition Army was winning streak, Chiang Kai-shek brazenly launched the "April 12" counter-revolutionary coup, and raided people from our party and leftists in the Kuomintang, and the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party broke down. A large number of Northern Expedition troops pointed their guns at their own people, and the situation of the National Revolution took a sharp turn.

The situation in Guangzhou also deteriorated rapidly. Just three days after the April 12 counter-revolutionary coup, the right-wing Kuomintang in Guangzhou established a "special committee" composed of Li Jishen, Gu Yingfen, Li Fulin and others, actively cooperated with Chiang Kai-shek's actions, launched a "purge of the party", and launched a large-scale search and massacre against leftists. Many people resisted in anger, but unfortunately failed due to lack of organization and outnumbered people.

The Guangzhou Office of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, Provincial Port Strike Committee , Guangdong Farmers Association and other progressive organizations were all banned, and the Guangzhou Women's Liberation Association where Fan Guixia is located also suffered the same fate. Not long after, outstanding party members such as Xiao Chunu, , Liu Ersong, , and Li Sen also fell under the butcher knife of the Kuomintang authorities.

And Fan Guixia's situation is already extremely critical. As a party member and an activist of the Guangzhou Women's Liberation Association, she was also targeted by the enemy and had to move into underground activities. But even so, her revolutionary beliefs have not been shaken. She insisted on conveying intelligence to our party in the white terror, waiting for the day of final victory.

One night, due to the betrayal of the traitor, the Kuomintang military and police surrounded Fan Guixia's house. Fan Guixia was worried about her family's safety, but Fan Xin asked her daughter to leave quickly, and he would take care of her here. Fan Guixia had no choice but to quickly climb out of the window on the second floor and hid near a large chimney on the roof.

Fan Guixia just went out, and the Kuomintang military and police who had been impatient to wait broke into the door. Seeing that Fan Guixia was not here, the angry military and police immediately beat Fan Xin one by one, and then turned the house upside down, but still couldn't find Fan Guixia. The Kuomintang military and police suspected that Fan Xin hid his daughter, so they tortured Fan Xinyi and forced him to tell him about Fan Guixia's whereabouts. Fan Xinyinning refused to surrender, and was finally beaten to death by the military and police. Seeing that she could not find Fan Guixia, the military and police captured Fan Guixia's sister Fan Guijian and left.

Seeing the enemy walking away, Fan Guixia hurried back home, but found that her sister was gone, and Fan Xinyi also fell in a pool of blood and dying. Fan Xinyi was already old, and the military and police beat people very ruthlessly, so his life was in danger at this time. Fan Xinyi finally grabbed Fan Guixia's hand and said, "Xia Gu, don't worry about me, go!" Then he passed away with hatred. Fan Guixia was extremely sad and angry, but the enemy might come back to search at any time, and she could not handle the funeral for her father, so she could only leave the house in a hurry.

At this time, Guangzhou City was conducting searches and massacres everywhere. The underground activity places that Fan Guixia used to visit were also sealed off by the enemy, and Fan Guixia had nowhere to go. Just when she was desperate, she met a female worker she had helped. The other party was once exploited and abused by his boss. Fan Guixia, who was organizing the workers' movement at the time, stepped forward, solved her difficulties and upheld justice. The female worker who was grateful for her took a huge risk to invite Fan Guixia to her home and let her hide for a while.

But it’s not a big deal to keep hiding like this. Fan Guixia is not willing to just sink into this way, and she still hopes to contact the organization. So the female worker proposed that although the organization in Guangzhou was basically destroyed by the Kuomintang authorities, our party’s organization in Hong Kong is still relatively complete, and many people from our party are also taking refuge in Hong Kong. If Fan Guixia goes to Hong Kong, she should be able to find a way to resume contact with the organization.

So Fan Guixia left Guangzhou under the cover of this female worker and came to Hong Kong. Here she met Long Jinwen, a comrade who once organized the workers' movement together. Long Jinwen's husband was Shen Baotong, who was then the secretary-general of the secretariat of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. Both sides had met in their previous work. So with the help of Shen Baotong, Fan Guixia re-connected the organization and was responsible for recording and contacting work in Hong Kong under the organization's arrangement. During this period, she took on the work of contacting important people from our party such as Li Lisan, Yun Daiying, and Dong Biwu, completed the task excellently, and was praised many times.

On the other hand, the brutal suppression of the Kuomintang did not make our party surrender, but instead made many people join the ranks of resistance. On August 1, 1927, the Nanchang Uprising broke out, and the rebel army quickly occupied Nanchang City, shocking the whole country. Chiang Kai-shek was extremely furious and immediately mobilized heavy troops to siege Nanchang. In order to avoid being surrounded, the rebels had to leave Nanchang and head south to Guangdong. Unfortunately, during the transition to Chaoshan, Premier Zhou suffered from long-term fatigue and lack of medicine, and eventually became ill due to overwork. Unfortunately, he suffered from malaria , which was very serious.

Seeing that the situation was critical, the organization had to arrange for Premier Zhou to temporarily leave the army and transfer to Hong Kong for medical treatment under the cover of Yang Shihun, member of the Chaoshan Special Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Shantou Prefectural Committee. But at this time, the Kuomintang also had organizations in Hong Kong. As a "confidential trouble" of the Kuomintang authorities, once Premier Zhou appeared in public in Hong Kong, he would inevitably be targeted by the Kuomintang agents. So Premier Zhou pseudonym was a wealthy businessman named Li, while Yang Shihun pretended to be the younger brother of the wealthy businessman and settled in Hong Kong.

But Premier Zhou is already famous at this time. If you go to the hospital directly, you will still be targeted by the enemy. Therefore, for a period of time after arriving in Hong Kong, Premier Zhou still did not receive treatment, and fainted after his condition worsened. Yang Shihun looked around for people from our party who understand medicine in Hong Kong. Finally, he learned about Fan Guixia under the introduction of Shen Baotong, and immediately decided to send Premier Zhou to Fan Guixia for treatment.

Therefore, Shen Baotong found Fan Guixia and arranged a task for her: "A leader of our party came to Hong Kong for medical treatment. In order to protect his identity, you need to pretend to be his wife and take care of his life. Can you do it?"

Fan Guixia hesitated for a moment, not because she was unwilling to take care of the leader, but because she was just a 22-year-old unmarried girl at this time, and suddenly became a "wife", which inevitably had an impact on her personal reputation. But Fan Guixia just hesitated for a moment, and soon she took on the task firmly. Compared with those leaders who are born and die and may face life danger at any time, what is this loss worth?

So Premier Zhou was sent to Fan Guixia's home. Fan Guixia was shocked when she looked at the leader who was carried out from the car. Isn't this Premier Zhou? At that time, it was the period of cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. Premier Zhou often gave reports to various revolutionary organs in Guangzhou. Fan Guixia had also heard Premier Zhou's speeches and left a deep impression on Premier Zhou, who was knowledgeable and approachable. Unexpectedly, after a few years, Premier Zhou became so weak. Looking at Premier Zhou, who was thin and brown in appearance, Fan Guixia couldn't help feeling distressed.

From then on, Fan Guixia took care of Premier Zhou meticulously. Although she was a fake couple, her care for Premier Zhou was like a real wife. The doctors sent by the organization also treated Premier Zhou and prescribed a prescription. Under the influence of her father, Fan Guixia also learned a lot about medical care . In this way, under Fan Guixia's care, Premier Zhou gradually recovered.

Later Premier Zhou often attended various occasions and performed tasks with Fan Guixia as a husband and wife. In private, he often chatted with Fan Guixia, from daily life to national affairs. Fan Guixia felt that although Premier Zhou was such a big shot, she was very approachable and admired him even more.

Once Premier Zhou asked Fan Guixia: "Do you have a partner?" Fan Guixia told frankly, saying that she had a boyfriend named Pan Yaofang, who was a student of Whampoa Military Academy, and a member of our party. But after the April 15th coup, the two lost contact, and she still doesn't know where Pan Yaofang is. Premier Zhou comforted Fan Guixia and said, "If he loves you, he will definitely come back to find you; if he doesn't come to find you, you don't have to love him anymore."

Premier Zhou was right, and Pan Yaofang did not give up on his efforts to find Fan Guixia. In early 1928, Fan Guixia and Pan Yaofang met again in Hong Kong. Soon after, the two got married and their lovers finally got married.

After working in Hong Kong for a period of time, Premier Zhou has to go back to continue leading the revolutionary struggle. At the end of 1927, Premier Zhou left Hong Kong and Fan Guixia came to the dock to say goodbye. Facing Fan Guixia who was reluctant to part with her, Premier Zhou smiled and said, "Xiao Fan, thank you for this period. Don't be sad. After the victory of the revolution, we will eventually meet again."

Fan Guixia agreed with tears. A year later, Fan Guixia also returned to Guangzhou to engage in secret work under the organization's arrangement. Unfortunately, the comrade who had contacted her in a single line was killed by the enemy soon after. Fan Guixia was unable to contact the organization again, so she had to return to her hometown to teach, and it was all the way until after the liberation.Fan Guixia also wanted to go over to meet Premier Zhou, but she was worried that a big shot like Premier Zhou would not be willing to see her, so she was unable to make a move.

1953, Fan Guixia's grandson was born in Beijing. She went to Beijing to visit. Premier Zhou accidentally learned about this. He immediately invited Fan Guixia to Zhongnanhai as a guest. So the opening scene appeared. Premier Zhou and Deng Yingchao warmly welcomed the "Prime Minister Zhou's wife". Deng Yingchao specially cooked a meal for her and thanked her for her care for Premier Zhou back then. The few people recalled the past while having a meal, as if they were back to the years of fighting together.

Premier Zhou passed away in 1976, and Fan Guixia fainted from crying. She later often talked about the experience of pretending to be a couple with Premier Zhou, and said that this was the most unforgettable time in her life.
