In previous articles, I have told you about the changes in cities. The changes in each city are unique because our country has a long history and a long history has allowed us to experience more regimes. The division of regions during the rule of each regime is different, and there are also great differences in place names. The names of cities nowadays have evolved from ancient times. Today, I will tell you about the changes in cities in Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, and see how Pu'er has formed a pattern of 10 districts and counties step by step. It is not easy to find historical materials. I hope everyone can like and support it.

First, let’s briefly talk about the development of Yunnan Province. Yunnan Province is referred to as Yun or Yunnan. As one of the 23 provinces in my country, in terms of geographical location, Yunnan is located in the southwest of , and the capital of Yunnan is Kunming. The main terrain in the territory is mainly mountainous, and mountainous land accounts for 88.64% of the province's area. Yunnan has a very long history and is one of the important birthplaces of mankind. Currently, Yunnan has 16 prefecture-level administrative regions, including 8 prefecture-level cities and 8 autonomous prefectures. According to the census data, Yunnan currently has a permanent population of 46.9 million, which is the province with the largest ethnic groups in my country. Yunnan has a unique geographical location and is the junction of the three major regions of South Asia, Southeast Asia and China. It is an important member of Yangtze River Economic Belt . Overall, Yunnan's development is still very good now.

Pu'er City is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Yunnan Province. It is geographically located in the southwestern region of Yunnan. Currently, Pu'er has a total area of 45,000 square kilometers. There is another district and 9 counties below, and these 9 counties are all autonomous counties. According to the census data, the current permanent population of Pu'er is 2.4 million, and Pu'er City is also known as Simao City. The GDP of Pu'er region in 2020 was 94.542 billion yuan. Judging from various data, Pu'er is developing quite well in Yunnan Province.

So what kind of zoning changes and evolution of Pu'er economy in history has formed the current zoning pattern step by step?

The history of the Qin Dynasty is not to tell you here. After the Qin Dynasty unified the six countries, the county system was adopted. However, the southwest region was not under the jurisdiction of the Central Plains dynasty at that time, and it was difficult for Chinese civilization to affect such a safe hammer zone.

The Western Han Dynasty began to expand its territory during the 5 years. On the administrative division of , in addition to the county system, a parallel system of counties was adopted, and the governor's department was established. There were 13 governors in the country. Pu'er belonged to the marginal area of the Western Han Dynasty, and there was still no detailed administrative plan. It is only under the jurisdiction of the Ailao Ministry in the southwest region.

As the Han Dynasty became increasingly powerful, it began to strengthen its jurisdiction over the border areas. During the Eastern Han Dynasty, Pu'er was under the jurisdiction of Yongchang County of the Yizhou Governor's governing department. During the Three Kingdoms Contend for Hegemony, the southwest region was under the jurisdiction of Shu Kingdom. However, although it was superficially under the jurisdiction of the Shu Han regime, rebellions often occurred. The Pu'er region at that time was still under the Yongchang Army of the Yizhou Governor's Ministry of Governors.

Western Jin After unifying the Three Kingdoms, the north and the south achieved a brief unification. At that time, Pu'er belonged to Yongchang County, the governor of Ningzhou.

Later, the Western Jin Dynasty split. After many wars, the Sui Dynasty once again created a situation of unification, and then began to learn from the reasons for the failure of the previous dynasty. In order to avoid the situation of warlords fighting in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, the Sui Dynasty once again implemented a two-level administrative system at the county level. However, the southwest region was not directly under the control of the Sui Dynasty, and the Pu'er region belonged to the Pu tribe.

During the Tang Dynasty, the various tribes in the southwest were directly affiliated with the Tang Dynasty. After the 8th century AD, the Nanzhao regime rose in the southwest region. After the Anshi Rebellion, it controlled the entire southwest region. At that time, Pu'er belonged to the Yinsheng Jiedushi and the place name was Bu Risheng.

The separatist rule of the Nanzhao regime continued until the 10th century. At the beginning of the 10th century, the Dali regime rose and controlled the southwest region. At that time, Pu'er belonged to the Chufu Ministry and the Simo Ministry of the Dali regime. After the unification of the whole country of

Yuanchao , in order to facilitate management, the provincial system was directly adopted. At that time, Pu'er belonged to Yuanjiang Xuanweisi, Guangxi, Lin'an, Yunnan Province, and the place name was Puris Modiansi.

During the Ming Dynasty , the provincial boundaries of the Yuan Dynasty were refined, basically laying the current boundaries of the province. At that time, Pu'er belonged to the Cheli Xuanwei Office of Yunnan Province, and the place name Pu'er was Pu'er. When the Qing Dynasty was able to strengthen the management of Yunnan, the method of changing the land and returning to the current flow was adopted. Judging from the current results, the practice was very correct at that time. The southwest region was gradually controlled, and Pu'er belonged to Pu'er Prefecture, Yunnan Province.

After the founding of New China, a special zone was established in Yunnan, called Ning'er Zone. At that time, Pu'er was called Simao. Simao County was under the jurisdiction of Ning'er Zone. In 1951, Ning'er Zone was changed into Pu'er Zone, and the Ning'er Line was changed to Pu'er Line.

1955, the government station of the Pu'er Special Office was moved to Simao County, and then the Pu'er Special Office was changed into Simao District. In 1970, the Simao District was renamed Simao District. In 2003, the Simao District was abolished and the prefecture-level city Simao City was established. In 2007, the former Simao City was renamed Pu'er City, Yunnan Province. So far, the history of Pu'er's zoning has ended.

Since the article has come to this point, I will briefly tell you how Pu'er is like.

Pu'er This city is a fifth-tier city. The city has a small scale, a poor economic foundation, and very inconvenient transportation.

But it may be because of these reasons that it has an unpolluted natural environment. Many people who yearn for a beautiful natural environment like to come to Pu'er for a trip.

However, according to various data, Pu'er's urban medical and industry are at the bottom in the southwest, and the development of education has also failed. In recent years, the investment promotion policy made by Pu'er's leadership team has also failed very much, almost no talent can be attracted, and population loss is relatively serious. I hope that Pu'er in the future can find its own development path and develop better and better.

About the zoning changes in Pu'er, I will introduce you to this. In the subsequent articles, I will introduce the zoning changes in other cities. I hope everyone likes it. Thank you for your support.
