In 473 BC, King Goujian of Yue, who worked hard for twenty years, raised an army to attack Wu and destroyed the Wu Kingdom in one fell swoop.

Goujian also led his troops to cross the Huai River north and met with princes such as Qi, Jin, Song, and Lu in Xuzhou. He was respected as the overlord by the princes and was enthroned by the Emperor of Zhou. Goujian was known as the overlord and became the last overlord in the Spring and Autumn Period.

After years of sleeping on firewood and tasting gall, Goujian finally brought Yue to the top and became the world's most powerful country admired by everyone.

Why did King Goujian of Yue not become one of the seven heroes of the Warring States Period after he destroyed the Wu Kingdom?

After Goujian's death, the three generations of Yue Kingdom had a regicide incident, which was known in history as "Three people in Yue killed their king".

In 448 BC, King Yue Bushou unfortunately became the first king to be murdered.

In the tenth year of King Bushou's reign, Bushou's son Zhu Gou was an ambitious person. He looked down on his father's behavior, launched a mutiny, killed his father, and proclaimed himself King Yue.

Zhu Gou was also the king with the strongest power and most prominent martial arts after Goujian.

Mozi said: "Today, the warlike countries are Qi, Jin, Chu, and Yue.... Now, because of the country's combination, there are four parts of the world."

can be seen that the Yue Kingdom during the Zhu Gou period was as famous as the three countries of Qi, Jin and Chu, and was called the powerful one of the four countries.

Yue Kingdom showed a thriving trend during Zhu Gou's rule.

However, Zhu Gou seized the position of the king by killing his father, and also laid the groundwork for a series of unrest in the Yue Kingdom later. His son, King Yi of Yue, was the second king to be killed.

In 411 BC, after Zhu Gou died, his son Yi inherited the position of King Yue. King Yi of Yue was an ambitious man like Zhu Gou, but he did not have Zhu Gou's ability to coordinate and view the overall situation.

During the reign of Zhu Gou, he continued to fight with Qi and Chu and could still gain the upper hand.

By the time of King Yi of Yue, Yue was trapped in the quagmire of war with Qi and gradually came to a disadvantage.

Faced with the threat from Qi and Chu, Yue State could no longer maintain its rule in the north, so King Yi of Yue had to move the capital to Wu.

In 375 BC, Yue Wang Yi's younger brother Yu murdered three princes in a row in order to inherit the throne. Yu instigated King Yi of Yue to get rid of Prince Zhujiu, but was rejected by King Yi of Yue.

Crown Prince Zhu Ju was worried about being killed, so he launched a coup, first drove Yu away, and then killed King Yi of Yue, which is known in history as the "Zhu Ju Rebellion".

Zhu Ju was also killed by the Yue people. In this coup, they supported the wrong branch as king.

A year later, the Qing Dafu Temple District killed Yu, which caused the turmoil, overthrew the rule of Cuozhi, and established Yi's son Wuyu as the King of Yue. Wuyu unfortunately became the third king to be murdered.

In 363 BC, the younger brother Si in the temple area killed Wuyu again and supported Wuzhuan as King of Yue.

The tragedy of regicide and father-killing continues to occur in the royal family of the Vietnamese king. After the "rebellion of the blames", the mutual killing of the nobles of Yue State caused the political chaos, social turmoil, and economic regression of Yue State, and the hegemony pioneered by King Goujian of Yue State also declined.

After Wu Zhuan ascended the throne, in order to get rid of the decline, he moved the capital back to the capital again, and still could not stop the fate of the decline of Yue.

Wuzhun died in his reign for 18 years, and his younger brother Wu Qian succeeded to the throne.

Sima Zhen's "Records of the Grand Historian Suoyin": "The future is overwhelming, and it will be destroyed by Wuyun."

Wuyun ascended the throne, another brainless operation was that it either sent troops to attack Qi in the north or the Chu state in the west. The king of Chu state, King Wei of Chu, sent troops to fight against the Yue army. After defeating the Yue army, he killed King Wuyun, which eventually led to the destruction of the Yue country.

In the late Spring and Autumn Period, the Yue Kingdom, which once dominated the princes, was like a flash in the pan. In the early days of the Warring States Period, they completely withdrew from the stage of history without causing much waves and failed to participate in the melee during the Warring States Period.
