Longduo Pass is a pass on the hill southwest of the old city of Luzhou . It is said to have been built during the Three Kingdoms Zhuge Liang period. It has been the fortress fortress guarding the old city from Shu Han to modern times. It reaches Tuojiang in the north and Yangtze River in the south. It is like a giant dragon penetrates the water of the two rivers, hence the name.
In January 1927, Liu Bocheng commanded the former Sichuan Uprising troops that had occupied Luzhou to cooperate with the main force of the National Army and rectified the military, civil and cultural education in Luzhou, opened schools to cultivate talents in social activities, organized forces to publicize the national revolution, and won support from all walks of life. In February, Chiang Kai-shek instigated Sichuan warlords to fight against the Communist Party and secretly ordered the elimination of revolutionary forces. In April, Liu Xiang organized the Sichuan-Guizhou coalition forces to siege Luzhou. Liu Bocheng personally visited Longtuo Pass to command, repeatedly fought with the enemy for the pass, and resisted tenaciously to repel the coalition forces. On May 12, considering that the general situation had deteriorated, in order to preserve the revolutionary forces, Liu Bocheng secretly left Lu and went to Wuhan, and the rebel troops retreated into Guizhou to incorporate the Guizhou army. Luzhou Uprising Although it failed, it has accumulated valuable experience for the subsequent revolutionary military struggle.
Thanks to the difficulties of the older generation of revolutionaries in starting a business, and specially presented it with a poem "Traveling the Dragon and Passing the Pass to Pay Quest to the Luzhou Uprising Monument": One pass penetrates the waters of the two rivers and steps up the mountain to read Cuiwei. If it weren't for the blood flowing in front of the army, how could I have Mu Qiuhui today?
