In fact, even Jiang Qing, we should look at her in two ways. She has a bad side and a good side at the same time.
Unlike Jiang Qing's arrogant and "bad words and deeds" during the Cultural Revolution, in the early 1950s, Jiang Qing was relatively approachable in dealing with people and things, so I would like to say a few small things.
Jiang Qing
The first thing happened in the early 1950s. Because Jiang Qing has acted in movies and dramas in Shanghai, she is familiar with affairs in the entertainment industry. So, for a while, she was sent to work at the Film Department of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
The office of the movie office was not in Zhongnanhai , and it was a little far away, so the government sent a car to pick her up. However, this car is an old and broken car. It has been over the years and often shuts down halfway. This requires the driver to get down and turn it hard with a shaker. After the puff sounds, the driver can restart and let the car continue to move forward. The waiting process of
is undoubtedly very annoying, but this situation often occurs, but Jiang Qing is still patiently waiting for the car to start again. And afterwards, Jiang Qing did not ask for a new car as Chairman Mao’s wife.
The above incident was told by Jiang Qing's then secretary Qi Xibao, and was recorded by Qi Xibao's classmate and reporter Hu Bangding.
From a small thing, I also realized that the environment can really change people. Jiang Qing had been in the film and television industry in Shili Foreign Field in Shanghai for three or four years, and naturally had a little delicate habit.
Jiang Qing is in Shanghai
, but since she defected to Yan'an, she married Chairman Mao, lived in a cave for ten years, and after ten years of hard and simple life, she has gradually developed an approachable style.
Plus in the early 1950s, under the leadership of the central leaders, the entire society had a kind of integrity, dedication and economical spirit.
Then, it is not surprising that Jiang Qing can do this!
The second thing happened during Jiang Qing's second trip to the Soviet Union for treatment.
Previously, in April 1949, Jiang Qing set out from Beiping , took the train to Shenyang, and then transferred to Dalian to fly to the Soviet Union. This plane was a special plane sent by the Soviet Union to pick her up. Jiang Qing also felt the feeling of "first lady" for the first time. This was Jiang Qing's first time going to the Soviet Union to treat her illness.
On September 6, 1952, Jiang Qing went to the Soviet Union for the second time to treat his illness, and Chairman Mao personally saw him off at the airport. A female translator and other guards accompanied Jiang Qing were also accompanied by a special plane sent by the Soviet Union.
Chairman Mao and Jiang Qing
Female translation is Zhang Guonan, and he is the daughter of Li Gongpu Martyr (she takes her mother's surname, and her mother's surname is Zhang).
Zhang Guonan is not only Jiang Qing's translator, but also temporarily serves as Jiang Qing's secretary.
Zhang Guonan recalled in his later years that Jiang Qing treated people kindly and dressed simply at that time, and he did not have the kind of arrogant and "bad words and evil deeds" he was like during the Cultural Revolution.
Zhang Guonan also said that Jiang Qing could not take photos and did not have a camera. After arriving in the Soviet Union, the Soviet government took care of the chairman's wife and gave her a camera. This was produced by the German camera factory in China after the victory of the Second World War of the Soviet Union, with a very good quality.
Jiang Qing and Zhang Guonan
From then on, Jiang Qing slowly learned to take photos, and then Chairman Mao’s famous poem "Photographed by Comrade Li Jin in Lushan Immortal Cave".
Zhang Guonan also recalled:
Jiang Qing learned from the letter that the son of her sister who helped her do housework went to a prestigious university in Beijing. She asked me to help her answer Wang Dongxing's phone number. I heard her ask her on the phone how her nephew entered this university. It was not until the other party affirmatively that she passed the exam that she felt relieved.
Jiang Qing said to Zhang Guonan: "We must consider the impact whenever we do."
From this matter, we can also see a fact. In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the senior leaders and family members of the Party were quite simple and honest.Jiang Qinggui is Chairman Mao’s wife and doesn’t even have a camera, let alone other valuable jewelry items. Moreover, the senior leaders at that time really set an example. The third thing about
also happened in the early 1950s.
Jiang Qing was weak at that time and often fell ill. Yu Aifeng (female), director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Tianjin General Hospital, has a good reputation because he has returned from studying in the United States.
Yu Aifeng
So, Yu Aifeng comes to Beijing from Tianjin once a month to treat Jiang Qing, so he has a deep impression of Jiang Qing.
According to Yu Aifeng's recollection, Jiang Qing treats people kindly and approachable, and treats doctors with special politeness and respect. Then, she recalled Jiang Qing's dress. She said that Jiang Qing was white and clean at that time, without heavy makeup, and looked very comfortable and beautiful. I was wearing ordinary cloth shoes, but a small ball of pomrose was nailed to the upper, which looked a bit feminine.
Jiang Qing and Chairman Mao in Yan'an
No matter what, we can also see from these three things: At least in the early 1950s, Jiang Qing was still very friendly to people. At this time, she was approachable and respected the working people of various professions such as drivers, doctors, translators, etc. At this time, she did not pay attention to material living conditions and was hard and simple.
Although in the later ten years of the Cultural Revolution, Jiang Qing began to become perverted, violent, arrogant and arrogant. However, when we look at historical figures, we must see both the good side and the bad side, and then analyze and understand. In this way, we can learn from history and not repeat the same mistakes!
