A few days later, Lan Ping used the excuse of tooth pain and wanted to go to Chongqing to treat the disease. Chairman Mao initially disagreed, but Lan Ping repeatedly insisted, so Chairman Mao had to agree, but stipulated that Lan Ping could not show up in public in Chongqing.
After Lan Ping arrived in Chongqing, she lived at Zhang Zhizhong's home. When she learned that Donald was also in Chongqing, she wrote a letter to him, wanting to meet him. However, Donner did not reply.
